Hello Az here is a Szamboti Cue being offered on Ebay "WOW"

Here is the link to the merry widow cue as he says. No pictures yet but hopefully they will be posted. The description is the same as the other Gus. He just copied and pasted. Same story. Not very descriptive for such a high end cue?

He also says both cues come in the original case. Fellini? If someone could get a picture of the case it would help.

The Merry Widow is a Hoppe cue, and from what I see, looks to be a Gus Szamboti with a Fellini case.

Is 12k for a plain hoppe alot? But then you have to factor in the condition it's in and the original feelini case to boot. So maybe worth it?

Well folks it seems legit to me. I just got off the phone with the father.

I won't tell the whole story but at one time he says Barry verified his name in his dad's books.

He is also willing to take paypal, wire transfer or whatever. He will even drive the cues to Barry's shop for him to authenticate them.

I'm telling you folks the hoppe would be mine if I were in the States!!

Whoever is seriously interested I suggest you jump on it.

John<----------Wishes he was on R&R visiting family in Jersey right now

Let's say Gus made just a little over 1000 cues. How many, to this day, remain unused? When you going to see another?

I am glad everyone has enjoyed this thread, and also according to all the new information posted in this thread, both the cues are original and genuine.

Thanks to everyone who posted.

outstanding!

i will gladly withdraw my BS call and enjoy checking the cues out. wish all well with the auctions!

Hey AZer's,
Just want to clerify to everyone.
I'm in no way involved in the sale of these cues.
I haven't seen these cues in over 4 years, and can't confirm current
condition of them.
Best,
Ken Kerner

According to ebay the seller cancelled both early. Even the one with the bid. I'm sure he'll be happier selling them outside of ebay so he doesnt get rapped for all the fees. I'm not sure what the fees are up to now but I'll bet it would have cost him 700 to 1000 dollars to sell it.

Of course it depends on the final value, but if the cue sold for 15K eBay would have charged a little less than $250 in sales commissions. Their rates get pretty cheap after the first 1K in final value. When I sold a Gus on eBay for 55K my fees were a little over $800.

Thanks

Kevin
