I have started the raffle as Trevor asked. I have not heard from him yet via paypal. If he has a paypal address I will let him take care of the direct donations. If he does not have that ability, I will gladly act as a proxy for the donations as well as the raffle. I will start sending people who entered the raffle my pp address as soon as I get the go ahead to complete the raffle from Trevor.

I want to thank everyone for the incredible out pouring of generosity, there may still be hope for mankind after all.

God Bless Trevor and his family for a quick and full recovery for his son.

Man, you guys are just freaking awesome. I can't thank you all enough.

We've had a real rough day once they moved him up to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. We got his first round of dialysis done this evening. His subsequent tests were mixed and they had to give him blood platelets and some other stuff a few hours later but we are hoping that we get some better news tomorrow or within the next few days anyway. He's being such a brave little boy. It's amazing how tough this little guy is. I'm sure that in the end all will be well it's just going to be a tough journey getting there.

For those who asked, my Paypal account is ........ trvnic68@netins.net

I need to get the actual address here at the Hospital posted for those who asked as well and I'll get that info sometime within the next day. Just a hint, my son loves Scooby-Doo.

It's almost 1 am now and I need to get up to his room and relieve the wife so she can try to rest a little tonight, I've got my coffee and I'm taking the next few hours by his bedside.

Again .............. I don't know how to thank you all enough. My family's love and appreciation is extended to you all and when we get through all of this, any and all of you are welcomed into my family.

I'll post some more tomorrow and try to follow up with the thanks I need to follow up on as soon as I can.

Trevor

Trevor it truly saddens me to hear about your son Joshua. I have had kidney problems for my entire life and was on dialysis for 5 years until I received a transplant in Nov. 1999. He is a very courageous little boy and he will be in my prayers. I do not use paypal but would like to send you a money order. Please post or pm me an address where I can the M.O. God Bless.

Steve

Trevor,
So sorry to hear about your boy. Can you please post the Hospital Address, so that we can send Get Well Cards and Monetary Gifts.
You're in our thoughts and prayers.
God Bless,
Patty & Greg

Thank you. For those wishing to send well wishes/other directly to him.

His address here at the Hopspital is .................

Great, since Trevor has a paypal address I will just handle the raffle and the one additional donation that bill sent. Once the raffle is filled, I will ship the monies to Trevor and I will eat the fees as part of my donation:-))

sir, i may be thousands of miles away but could you PM me your complete name and address please? i wil try to send whatever i can via Western Union Money Transfer.

I'll post updates on Joshua here.

He had a rough night last night but he's in good spirits this morning watching cartoons and asking how soon we can go home so he can see our puppy and kitties ............. (he misses our pets). Joshua has 2 older brothers who he misses terribly as well. My 2 older sons are both in High School. School starts Wed. and in the past I've taken the boys out for breakfast on the first day of school so I may have to break away from the Hospital tomorrow morning to do just that. As of yet I haven't left the Hospital since last Thursday morning. At least they have good coffee here .......... the food aint the greatest but it will have to do for now.

The doctors will be making their rounds within the next hour or so and I'm sure I'll get some updated info at that time, hopefully it will be some good news since as of yet we've had none. Joshua has slowly been declining since we got here as far as his results from the blood tests and such. His platelets were at a very woeful low of 4.9 this morning I believe (If that means anything to some of you) so we will be getting more blood transfusions this morning for platelets and red blood cells I'm sure and can expect some more dialysis later in the day.

For those of you that didn't catch the original info ................ Joshua caught E. Coli from a little girl who came to daycare sick one day almost 2 weeks ago and the toxins that are produced by E. Coli is what is causing all the problems for Joshua. I know that there is another little boy in the Des Moines area that is having some of the same complications at this time as well from what the Doctors told us. I'm hoping to talk to the Dept. of Public Health sometime today or tomorrow and see if they have any info on where this particular E. Coli has originated from if they have figured it out yet. Some kids get this and fare pretty well, others can get serious complications from it like my son has, it just varies from case to case.

Thanks again to so many of you for your outpouring of support for a complete stranger. You have no idea how much my family appreciates all of you. I will try to thank each and every one of you personally when this is all said and done.

My regards.

Trevor

Even though this world may seem like it's going to hell, there are decent people in this world who constantly remind us all that compassion still exists and is still strong. We are meant to look out for one another, despite our borders and our differences. Afterall, we are human.

Donation has been sent.

For some reason, paypal is not letting my money go through with this email address. It keeps saying please use a valid email address. Anybody else having trouble?

Doug

When you send Paypal, send it 'personal' and not 'business' and label it a gift. No fees charged to Trevor that way.

I didn't have any trouble w/ the addy.

Trevor,
It was an honor to have a chance to offer some help. All my wishes for Joshua, and my best to you and all your family.

I put the first part in upper case so it would be easier to read. It works fine. My prayers are going out to Trevor and his family in this crisis. I'm praying for Joshua to pull through.
