You are playing a better player a race to 9. He is giving you the 6 ball, winner breaks. You are both on the hill. He breaks - comes up dry. What is your next shot here?

The only problem I see is that he can probably get a good angle on the 3 to break up the cluster I just created and still have position for the 4.
Calling push and moving the 8 towards the 7 will be harder to break out later in the game by the better player, but will also be harder to execute now in the push shot.
