How many racks have you run?

> I've exactly 1 5 pack on a 9 foot Diamond or Gold Crown. I just don't get to play on tight equipment enough to charge like I should :(. On the 8 footers here in town,or semi-locally,I've had a 5 and a 4 with no combo's in the same race to 13 for 100,a 6,and several 4's and 5's. On bar tables,under common challenge or "bar" rules,4 racks of 8-ball and a streak of 7 that started by running 7 balls,then breaking and running 6. Is that strong in Florida for example? Probably NOT. For all I know,there may be 300 people there that can beat me even when I'm playing a lot and pumped up. I can tell you this though,there are a group of older men here that have a daily 5-9 dollar a ball ring game,that absolutely refuse to let me in the game,or will let me in and everyone quits. These are guys that probably bring home 1200 a week or more too,so it's not like I'm going to bust them in this game. All I want to do is play,and they refuse,because if I play,they won't get to. ;). Can't help recalling the story of Kevin Trudeau's straight faced and deadly serious assertion in Las Vegas, whilst knocking some balls around with a cue action which resembled a severe attack of Parkinsons disease, that he'd once personally ran 200+ balls in 14:1...........for anyone who needed it at the time that was a .............BIG CLUE!!!!! :)
 
I once made a 1-9 combo in 9 ball, and have run 3 balls in 14.1.
Sorry, I generally don't like to brag about myself but I just couldn't resist this time....
 
1 rack of 9 ball if it's a easy open rack. I usaully can't run the entire rack because i lose focus and get way out of line and then struggle to get back and then just lose. :(

To date, the most consecutive racks of 9 ball I've run is 3. I play alot of safes which causes my number to stay low, but I do have 3 to my credit.

The only 6 pack I ever ran in 9 Ball was with a Cuetec house cue at Starcade Billiards, Ft Walton Beach FL in 1999. The co-owner Andy (RIP) saw me and commented on my good play with that cue...LOL. I won the weekly 8 ball and 9 ball tournament at least once using that cuetec housecue. Maybe I should have bought it...LOL. Anyhow, Starcade's rented rented them and I didn't have a cue at that particular time. My break was *on*. I made the 9 on the break three times during that set, and it wasn't rack your own. It was on the big table, and I count it as a 6. Came up dry on the 7th break. Since then I've done twos and threes if my break is working, but my break is just horrible.

In a one pocket match I was gambling against a better player for $20 a game even...just for the experience at the time. I didn't, and still don't play very good one pocket. On my break - two times in a row (although it is alternate break, two sequential times at bat) I made a ball on the break, and ran 7 and out. Kind of flukey but neat.
 
Racks run? Honestly???

Why would anyone who still gambles at pool get on here and tell the truth about how many racks they have run? It is easy enough to get knocked without doing it to your self.

For physical reasons I no longer play any game for money other than a ring golf game or partners one pocket. Both games allow for recuperative chair time between shots.

With that said, I can no longer be knocked so,,,,,,,,, I have strung 6 racks of 9 ball together on a 9? table and at least 8 racks of 9 ball on a bar table. The reason I say, at least, is because I was so wired 8 is where my memory failed me. I was told by different people the total was wither 9 or 10. The guy in with me said 10. I know for sure I made the 9 on the break once.

I have run 8 and out playing one pocket but never strung any 2 racks together. I have strung 18 holes together playing golf on a 5X10, starting with the top left pocket and finishing with the top right. I have only strung 6 holes together finishing with the side pocket. You guys who have never played golf on a snooker table are missing the most fun you can have with a stick and balls. Golf ring games are the best.

*14.1 - 126 and out (tourney at the Billiard Cafe, Chicago 1993)
*10 ball - 2 pack (haven't played it that much)
*9 ball - 7 pack (tourney at McGaffers, Merrillville IN. 2001?)
*9 ball on the break - 4 in a row (practice on my triple shimmed GCIII)
*8 ball bar box - 6 pack (actually won 11 in a row, bar box tourney in Lynwood ILL.)
*7 ball - i can't remember cause' i don't play it that often
*1 pocket - (broke and ran a couple times plus some break/safe/runs as well)
*Banks (big rack) - 9 in a row (practice) (*8 and out twice)
*Banks (small rack) - *8 in a row (practice)
*Practicing 9 ball position - (throw all 9 balls on the table, make sure none are tied up and play ball in hand) - 21 racks without missing a ball (practice 2006 before my table was triple shimmed (it was double shimmed), *20 since then)
 
neil, why didn't you keep going after 50 :)

I'd be happy to run 50 in that game and I'd definitely want to see if I could take it further.

Did KT really say he'd run over 200 in straight pool? He's either a bigger BSer than we thought or he actually does have the pool bug :o

9 ball = 4 racks. Twice, both times had a 9 ball brake in the middle.
8 ball = 4 racks. Only once
14.1 = 22 balls. Not good.
1p = 6 balls. Never 8 in out.

Eight ball I wanna say 4 on the bar box, maybe more.9 ball on the bar box I've ran 7. Eight foot just throwin up and runnin them off I've ran 8 in 9 ball 9 in 10 ball.Straight pool I've ran over 60 I think it was 64 or 65.

Did run 4 and out against Zinnie Panju (valley forge womans champion) giving her the 5 and 7 in a tournament at Maidof's (9-ball)

unless you count the time i was getting the 8 then i guess it'd be 3 racks of 9 ball. and a high run of 27 playing straight pool.

Amen. Some of the best friendships I have were forged in golf games. Of course if we hadn't forged those friendships we'd have killed each other during said games.:D
