I am deleting threads here

Just having some of the newer members reading the forum rules would help IMO...
I just appreciate Jerry's efforts...

Cues / Cases / Books-Videos / Gloves / Aiming Systems / Brik-a-Brac / Cue-ID...

C'mon Jerry ....

You can't buy Milk in the Soup isle at Piggly Wiggly...

Please change the setttings so only the seller can write on a thread for a bump. Or if it is possible have the forum setup so that only comments from the seller bump the post to the top.

FWIW it's hard to do it exactly at 48 hours. I don't even understand the time stamps. I just had to give away another $1000 case because people got into my contest and the time stamps I saw indicated they were too late but their time stamps indicated that they were definitely in on time. So I drew again and gave away two cases instead of one.

Props to you JB. At least you did what was right. My wife "won" a contest Vultori case back in September of last year. Was told it would be 6 weeks. We have yet to see a case and get nothing but excuses.

Hi Jerry....

I'm just bumping this thread so it get's deleted

Just kidding Sir.....welcome back and do what you need to do!

Cheers,

Ken

Let's keep this thread on page one.....front & center.

Everyone will ultimately benefit from using PM to communicate instead of public posting.

Your future threads will remain on the front pages longer and will only move backwards from new posts
or legitimate 48 hr bumps jumping in front of your sale/wtb thread......less garbage is a good thing, is it not?

Less abusive and superfluous communication exchanges on the public thread since compliments, questions
and criticism will be conducted via PM between just the thread OP and the respective AZer.

So it's in everyone's best interest to report violations....let's get the Forum cleaned up once and for all and keep it that way.

Go Jerry.....Great to see a forceful, take charge approach since détente and diplomacy has failed.

Jerry...give this man a job will you :)...he's been working for free for far too long now.

Well...might not be a bad idea to have more moderators...am sure some of the members here are willing to volunteer.

Bingo, we have a winner

If possible make it so only the original posters responses bump the thread.

Id like to see mandatory price dropping implemented. Theres a lo of old listing clogging up WFS. Also you have to post a price, even for high end cues.

They don't need any more mods, and we already have plenty of rules, sub-sections, etc. Jerry and the gang have done a great job for a long time. Personally, I liked it 7-8 or more years ago when it every man for himself...that was a lot of fun.

We, the members of AZB, make or break this place, so simply act responsibly with posts, bumps, etc.

As for me, I have had a whole lot of fun and it has helped me make a lot of friends with whom I shared a common interest. I want to thank Jerry and every one else involved for the great job they did when they started AZB. It must be hard for them, now that it has become an overwhelming success, to have so many people who know how they could have done it so much better.

Keep in mind that we ask users to let us know when other users violate the rules. We usually don't try to read every thread, and have to count on other users to let us know when something needs our attention.

Mike

So you are going to start letting the moderators moderate, and not try and be the forum police now?

This is a strong accusation...
Posts like this can ruin reputations..
Can you please provide more details?

Where was the contest? Azb?
Is there a thread?
Help us out here...

Next on the list are folks who double post their items to the forum and just basically abuse the privilege of selling their items here.

I don't have any problems with someone posting an item periodically that they want to get rid of, but when someone posts item after item and never once contributes to the forums, then I get a little irked.

And when I say "contributes", I don't just mean as a gold member. In my opinion, someone participating with good conversation in threads is contributing just as much as a gold member is.

I think this is a step in the right direction. I am glad to see this happen. In the long run, it will make for a better FS section and cut out a lot of the BS that has been going on for far too long.

I think most of us are fine with helping moderator/AZ know when someone violate the rules properly...but it's annoying as hell when you have these forum polices post in the OP thread saying they violated the bumping rules etc but yet at the same time they are really part of the problem.

I like the Idea that only the seller can post to their F/S thread...any discussion should be done via PM..but that kinda takes away some of the fun in the for sales thread when we have good discussion about the cue. If you going to automate all of this, might as well lock down every post and have the thread auto bump itself every 48 hours or based on the setting that the OP can set when the thread is created. Or better yet send an email to the OP to confirm if they want to bump in the next 48 hrs etc.

Duc.

I am certain I will get many PM's saying I removed threads that were not bumped. Before you send me that PM figure out how much you want to bet before I show you the threads. Minimum bet is $50.

LOL!! :rotflmao1:Magnificence, made black and off-white..

This thread should be a Sticky

Thanks

Kevin

Hear, hear!

Things really have changed, it's quite strange around here.. as someone who was very active a few years back and then left the site for an extended period of time, I can safely say I didn't come back to the same place lol.. very different vibe all together..

Let's get that good feeling back, ladies and gents. :)

I love the way you guys debate this. Carry on...

DoubleD sir, please do not compare that beautiful clean environment with Azb.

Now, I really do appreciate Jerry and the boys for their work and I am thankful for having a place to vent and socialize, even get rid of unwanted pool items from time to time, but I think there are many things around here that went too far...
And yes I'll pay for gold membership, just not now, just not yet....there is hope tho.

You guys do whatever you thinknis necessary.
Chris
