I never thought I would say this but I'm finished watching Earl play. Until the powers that be hold him to the same standard as every other player he will continue his sharking and bad sportsmanship. I can not believe someone hasn't slapped the $hit out of him yet for his sharking. To me a true pool player shouldn't think his actions are funny or good for the game. Earl is one of the greatest players ever but how he acts in matches takes a lot away from that. Johnnyt

I agree with you,but its now become a part of his overall game because there are people out there that love to watch him go off and is disappointed if he doesn't.Its sort of like only watching car races waiting for one to crash and burn.

I agree with you JohnnyT, but why start another thread on it?? There is already another one the same as yours.

Well because he brings up a very good point. He should be held accountable and not allowed to get away with all this. It is after all the only reason he does his routine. he has been doing it for years and years and has had the shit slapped out of him, but I 'm not going into that.
He should be endorsed by Pampers!

Great,now your giving baby's a bad name!!Oh no I see another thread starting:thumbup:

Phil Hellmuth has made millions acting stupid on TV.

If someone put Earl on a pool TV reality show it would take off for sure.

...I'm finished watching Earl play....
Ditto...fortunately I pulled the plug after the last fiasco, so I didn't have to witness his latest antics. Justin posted that he's done too, so maybe no more TAR for Earl.

It's very distracting, but I don't think it's intentional sharking, like someone who is quiet when you get down on the shot then jingles his keys as you pull the trigger. That's intentional sharking.

He reminded Shane that he could make Earl shoot again, so he does honor the game. He just doesn't realize what he is doing to himself and the game he loves so much.

Maybe if he saw an old tape of himself then a replay of what he looks like now, he would see how he disgraces himself.

Imagine what he would be like if he had the outlook of someone like Joel Osteen.

I absolutely understand the points being made here, and I definitely believe he should be held accountable to the rules of the match.
However, as to refusing to watch for the distractions/behavior seems a little over the top to me.
I'll admit to being annoyed by some of his antics, but never to the point that the annoyance overshadows getting to watch one of the very best 9/10 ballers of all time.
Don't color me as one of Earl's fans, I'm not. But there's no way that I'll pass up the opportunity to watch and learn from this guy's game. For me, blowing off the antics is a small price to pay to be dazzled.

For the record, I'm not taking exception to those of you who can't stand to watch him any longer... just offering another perspective.

I bought Fridays TAR but didn't buy yesterdays. I did predict that Saturday would be the day he went on tilt. Can someone tell me what happened?? what did he do?

Mainly just banging his cue out of frustration.

He also has been mock applauding when he sells out the game by missing a shot and leaving Shane with a hanger and then saying things like "you're a great player" to Shane.

Definitely unsportsmanlike, but rather tame compared with Earl's previous antics

Quick summary;

He constantly got up while Shane was down ready to break to make sure the cue ball was not passed the line.

He banged his cue on the table enough times where he could have easily driven a nail through the rail.

Lastly he wasn't at a lose for words., nothing new really, I find him entertaining, but it's coming in smaller doses.

Ok, thanks for the info guys. I called Earl to ask him also but I knew I was only gonna get his side of it. Well compared to other tilt moments this wasn't all that bad. Don't make it right but from what people were saying I thought he had javalined his cue across the room.
