So tonight I entered a double-elimination pool tournament at the local bar and maybe 15 people showed up to play. I lost my very first game and got dropped down into the losers bracket. I eventually won a bunch of consecutive games and worked my way into the championship (not a f*&%$#! clue how I did but w/e). My opponent was at the table and He tried to cut a ball into the side but it didn't make it there. He did make contact with his ball but the ONLY ball that hit the rail was the cue ball. I walked to the table ready to pick the ball up and I said "Ball in hand right.." just to be on the safe side. If I had ball in hand I would have had to make one simple shot that set itself up on the eight. My opponent said that since the cue ball hit the rail it was a legal shot. I argued for probably two minutes and the only person that agreed with him was the bartender who was running the tournament.
They were playing "league" rules which I was aware of and when I argued it he said it was a mix of APA rules and their own league rules. IMO this is GAY. There should be a set copy of rules. Even the tournament before this I was playing the exact same guy and it came up and it went the other way. The league they play though is ran by Michael Zimmerman and is called Zims Rack. Michael does have an account on here that goes by the name of Zims Rack, but idk if he gets on anymore. Is this how its usually played in your leagues anyone?
