After meeting Glen and having him set up a table for me I'm here to tell you he is the real deal. Very interesting and can actually talk pool better the myself and believe me I can talk:o.

I also thoroughly enjoy reading RKC's threads. They are quite informative to me and I now realize there is a lot more that goes into table setup than merely slapping some cloth on top of a piece or several pieces of slate and bolting the rails down...

informative or entertaining

i have been on this forum for a little over a year, i came here to learn more about table construction, maintainence and about cue making. i will say that Glenn's serious posts are very informative, some of his old posts when OTLB and he would go at it were very fun to watch develop, wish he would come back and stir the pot again.

i have never seen Glenn's work in person, but from the pictures i have seen he does excellent work. Very few people these days would be as dedicated as he to learning multiple trades and crafts required to either build, design, set up, or repair something as complex as a billiards table, i know i spent years building furniture and cabinets. Glenn has taken above average skills as a woodworker, meticulous attention to detail of a machinist, skills with cloth that are beyond reproach, the years of learning the multitude of angles and shelf depths etc to make a table play right. my hat is off to him, my only complaint is that i would like to know some of the angles he uses when rebuilding rails and a few of his secrets to getting the cloth right but i guess some secrets are sacred and when the time comes to rebuild my table my only hope is that he would consider sharing some of his wealth of knowledge with an outsider.

keep up this excellent work Glenn! :clapping:

Glen is talented in many things. But when it come to a pool table, the term savant and genius come to mind.

Had the pleasure of spending several days with Glen as he re-did my table as we did a photo log of the job. Glen is ALWAYS looking for ways to improve things, which to me is one of his finest traits.

I sold my table to buy video equipment and the fact that Glen set it up closed the deal.

That table played perfect.

Hopefully for the pool world, Glen's plans to train others of his ways continues for a very long time.

When and if you are lucky enough to get a table set up or repaired by Glen, you see what he is all about. Making the table in front of him the best table he has ever done! His waiting list is long. He is teaching others his secrets at no cost. He aint getting rich. The guy is in love with pool tables. He knows them inside and out. He is passionate about his trade and trying to set a better standard. Yes, I am a Glen fan. If everybody put as much effort into their jobs as he does, we all would be much better off.
Keep them coming Glen! Your efforts will pay off. One mechanic at a time. See Ya soon!

Glen is the best at what he does bar none!! Every before and after photo makes my jaw drop when I see what he has done to the table. Keep it up Glen!

Mike,

Pssst! His secrets are in the mechanics' section on this forum. Do a search and you will eventually find them. He doesn't hide them, he spreads them out and makes you earn them! I followed his advice and can shoot a ball down the rail on my table with 4" pockets 90 miles per hour no problem. If you hit 'em good they'll drop. He knows his stuff!

Best,
Mike

I agree.
He's a bit cranky and fussy and very honest..like many fine artisans.

'That's good enough' don't cut it with this man

Glen is a great guy with a passion for excellence and loves to teach about his art. He not only does the great work but if you want to help and get your dainty little hands dirty, you can earn a lot (about removing staples) Ha!

Plus the man can cook!
