If you could play anyone, who would it be?

Michael Jeffrey Jordan

I would prefer to play him some basketball, but since the first post didn't actually mention you would be playing pool this could suffice.

Great choice.

Mike Siegel

Mr. Siegel is one of the best players of all time. He is also a cry baby about the rolls on the table and ranks as one of the most arrogant players of all time. (Last sentence taken out for correction).

In reality he would probably beat me but I would love to have the chance to beat him.

(but I guess you must be that arrogant to play at that level).

You should rethink this statement, because this would insinuate that Efren, Allison, and a host of other great pool players are arrogant as well. Which is absolutely not true.

You can fine many examples of great players in the sports world who are good roll models in society. Arrogance is not a prerequisite for greatness, but confidence is.

Cornbread Red.

It's easy to beat the guy who thinks he the best..but hard to beat the guy who knows he is!!

BOOOM!!!!! now we're talking.

I'll take...

Elisha Cuthbert

Scarlett

and Eva Longoria

1. Mike Sigel - I just love watching him play
2. Jeanette Lee - I just love watching her
3. Nick Varner - Simply a great professional
4. Earl Strickland - Simply the best 9 ball player

I was just thinking that one of the neat things about the pool world, in contrast to any other major sport, is that if you really wanted to play just about any world class player, no matter what your level, you actually have a pretty decent chance of making it happen. Sure it might cost a couple bucks, not more than a days wage though. Just show up at DCC or maybe any event the player is at and you have a reasonable chance.

I mean, there's no way I'll ever go head to head with Tiger Woods, or get a chance to swing at a real pitch during any baseball game in a major league stadium, but in pool, it's possible for anyone to play anyone.

Kinda cool huh? :D

I must correct myself. Arrogance IS NOT a requirement to be a great player. Thank you Jason for correcting my error.

Some of the greatest players are so humble its amazing. I have know Dan Louie for 20 years and you can't find a nicer and more graceful person in the game. Jason is also correct in saying its confidence not arrogance that makes a great player.
