I'm predicting an upset Tomorrow.......

Hi there Joey,

Seeing as I couldn't play this year myself I have gotten pretty pumped about some of our young guns from the Twin Cities here. I live in St Paul right now redoing the Perfect Aim video and I've gotten a chance to see a couple of these young guns and how they take care of business. I wish I would have had their work ethics when I was their age.

I'm playing with them on a daily basis and I'm impressed.

Once the new video is complete I might take one of these young guns with me on some Perfect aim trips. It would be real fun to see how they stand up against other players around the country. I think they would do just fine.

Jesse and Beau are going to turn some heads I hope in the US open.

In fact they are going to turn heads whereever they play.

It's going to be alot of fun.........and I like fun................

Thanks again for asking........geno...........

I've played Beau in years past before he knew how to play one pocket but even so he shot straight as an arrow. (Very nice young man) Jesse sounds very promising. I have to assume that you have helped Jesse with PERFECT AIM. ........

My paypal account Joey, if you have paypal and would like to wager a little something on it I sure will.

Mikey,
I just went back and read your post. You aren't asking to make a wager that Earl Strickland and Mike Sigel will NOT PLAY each other on the winner's side are you?

That would mean that you are betting that either Earl or Mike will lose their next match.

Joey, Joey, Joey... <tisk tisk>

Geno-marketing-machino already said Jesse's aim is "almost PERFECT" (notice marketing use of "PERFECT" in capital letters):

Keep an eye on Jesse Engle. If this 19 year kid from Minneapolis can keep his composure it's going to be a long match for Earl.

11-9 Jesse Engle. His aim is almost PERFECT.................

I'd gather he's not quite there yet, according to the PERFECT(tm) scale. If it were, I'm sure Jesse would've taken down every tourney he entered. ;) :p :D

Earl is in great shape (sometimes runs 8 miles) and is in great form. He's won some of the local/regional tournaments around the south. Don't count him to either fold or not be competitive. The fire still burns in his flat belly !!!

Lol, how can earl run eight miles, I know he smokes everyday or used to.

I don't know why, but for some reason when I saw this, I thought of Earl doing Eminem in that movie with that name (minus the "s"). Can you imagine Earl rappin' and signin' that movie's headliner song, with lyrics replaced by Earl-rants? (Oh no -- what visual did I just conjure up?!?)

:D

Earl

Earl Strickland has not ha a cigarett in a couple of months. He is serious about his fitness!

Nathan filmed him running 5 miles the other day - in 37 minutes.

We at CSI wish EARL the very best in his quest for the US open championship. (His 6th if he can do it - tough job!)

Mark Griffin,

How....??

Pretty damn fast...

He stayed here with me last month. He runs every morning 4.5 miles. Sometimes runs in the evenings too. And remember this is Tucson Az. With temps exceeding 100 daily.

And does hundreds of sit-ups.

Earl quit smoking again while he was here.

Let me tell you, he's in shape.

Yes Joey that's exactly what I was doing. You dodged the trap this time. Engel is the real deal, from what I'm told he's scarier than SVB was at the age of 19. Also from the Midwest, they do breed champions. Earl and Sigel are getting older and I'll tell you what...the kid might just snap Sigel off too and make a run at this thing. You never know....

I got close but nobodys perfect.........

I predicted the score 11-9. Ended up 11-10.

Jesses worked real hard the last 3 months. He's earned everything he gets.

Look out everyone. Great Job Jesse...........

I hope he can continue that level of intensity and not suffer a let-down after defeating Earl. I hope somebody is there to pump some excitement back into him.

Great call Gene on Jesse and what a thrill for the youngster to face Earl and Sigel back to back. Regardless of outcome, great seasoning and confidence boost for this kid going forward. Now he knows he can beat anyone.

You do know that you now look like the smartest man on the forums....

Honestly, I never heard of Mr Engle before seeing him named on the brackets. I thought the Strickland vs Sigel match was a done deal.

Who said there's no crying in pool? (As a small tear slithers down my cheek)

You are SLICK Mikey! Remind me not to gamble with you.

Are you ready to wager that Sigel will lose to Engle? :poke:
