Where Can Someone Buy A "Nice Guy Hat" ????
It's just that FL likes to throw that $10,000 figure around and yet he avoids meeting you anywhere to play. He repeatedly talks up his 'nationwide tour', but NEVER tells you where he will be.... or when.
You've offered him every imaginable spot and yet he still avoids any possible match up. I'd just like to see him get in the box.

I think Doug was only making a joke, one I didn't quite get, but a joke nonetheless. I figured it was an inside joke and others would get it.

FWIW, I HAVE NOT communicated with the guy in over two in a half years - the last time I spoke with him was when I was living in El Paso and he was constantly calling my cell phone at all hours of the day and night, screaming and yelling some insane nonsense about Debra Li dying a violent death at his hands.
Let's just just throw those two in a cage - maybe we could toss Earl in there too - and see who walks out. I'd watch that before I'd watch anymore IPT 8 ball. Yes Earl, I said that.
As for the valium and the JD - no thanks - I'm already on my second cup of coffee and I'm operating better now. Thanks for understanding.

I too will not take any part in the second act of Trudeau's billiards debacle. There is no way i'd ever give him a dollar for any product that he offers, including pool. Just by going to his website you are helping him by giving his site hits to show to potential advertisers. If you are able to forget what he has already done to professional billiards, then more power to you. I just hope I dont see all of these true-blue IPT supporters crying again in a year or two after they are conned again.
As for SVB participating in one of these, I dont think it will happen. He's said before that he would not play for KT. Some believe that character and substance are more important than actions and offerings.

can't we stop *****ing about the IPT? any harm it has caused is being multiplied by it's naysayers' insistence on banging on about it all the time.
i would like to be positive and hope that sooner or later they will hold a tournament again and these challenge matches are just the preceding steps. that would be good for pool.
as it is these small challenge matches aren't harming anybody and are providing some free pool to watch.
personally i hope shane doesn't refuse to play if he's voted for as there's no point - it will achieve nothing. i wanna see shane versus jasmin!

By my highly unofficial count Fast Larry's dog seems to be the most universally acceptable player to put in the box. If I wouldn't suspect a fix, I'd say head's up the dog against Larry. That not being possible, I kind of like the match up of Dr Cues Protege and the dog, even if DCP is banned.
Of course Jay's idea of KT vs Mike Sigel with lawyers in each corner giving advice on every shot has great appeal too.
Folks, this is mostly just a fun thread although I would seriously like to get AZB together to swing the voting at the IPT. If the voting was swung in favor of a pairing that the IPT would find embarrassing, well I would find a lot of humor in that!

No, I can't. I was against the IPT from the beginning because of KT's con-man persona, I took heat for it, but stood fast. I just can't justify supporting a con-man no matter what he was supposedly going to do for pool, which of course he didn't do. I hate Fast Larry's actions as much as anybody alive. My only concern is that he might actually be mentally ill somehow. Like you said he is clearly fruit loops, and it might be due to a mental condition that is beyond his control. If that is the case, he did not and does not deserve to be popped in the jaw. Now if he is sane, and is just an a$$hole and an idiot and does all that he does with full knowledge, then he deserves what he gets. The problem is, how do we really know which is really the case.
