TAR 20 is on for March 18-20 at IceBreakers Billiards in Youngstown Ohio. The match is presented by Mike Gulyassy and Baby's Pro Shop. The match is a race to 100, 10 ball, $10,000 entry fee, winner take all on a five by ten foot table.

As always the match will be streamed live via Pay Per View on The Action Report. For information on seating at the venue please contact the Mike Gulyassy or Mike Mousie via the numbers listed on the flyer.

Earl has said for a long time that the 5x10 table will show who the best player is. Join us March 18-20 to see how it plays out.

Wow, can't wait to see a race to 100 on a 5x10. I would love to see a 100-99 match either way. Like 'em both, but I think SVB's break will be too much.

Anyone know anything about the 5 x 10 they will be playing on? It's probably a Brunswick, but what size are the pockets? Original 5 x 10's were 5"+ buckets. If the rails have been changed to modern fast rails, then that won't be a true 5 x 10 table that you need a good stroke for IMO. Although both players have great strokes. I believe this will be TAR's biggest showing, as people tune in to watch two great players and to see pool on a 5 x 10 table. I'll be there. Johnnyt

Everyone here knows I'm Earl's #1 fan....here... let me get this outta the way:

EARRRRRRRRRRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok...

Now, that being said....

This is gonna be like watching a deer die. :sorry:

Who is not looking forward to this one!!!! These guys are both clearly hitting them as good as anyone. I hope Earl wins the first 20 so it's real tight on Day 3.

It's awesome to watch a deer die so this match will be triple good. I think Earl will play real well against SVB. Realistically anything within 20 games is a fairly close race IMO.

I would also like some info on the table. Thanks

If Earl wins, I'm gonna wallpaper my room with this poster and eat my shit-up underwear, streamed live from my basement.

I think this will be the most enjoyed TAR match ever mainly because SVB beat him 100-60 last time. Therefore I predict very little if any sweat betting going on, except for Chips (he covered the whole rail with that 3:1) action. So less action will make for a more enjoyable time, I'm looking at it like a party!

Earl doesn't stand a chance against SVB, Mikey!

I think Earl will impress

I wouldn't write-off Earl so quickly. There's reasons for Earl's stipulation for the 10'x5' table. 1.) I'm pretty sure Earl practices a bunch on a 10'x5' (Earl has "fantasies of old" and idolizes the old masters like Greenleaf who played on this size table); and 2.) Shane's break is calculated and practiced for a 9'x4.5' table. I really do think Shane's break will need some significant tweaking to dial-in on a 10'x5' table. Is Shane capable of dialing it in? Sure. In time for the race to 100? Now that's the bet.

It will be a heck of a race for sure -- a "TAR match-up of the ages" (even supersedes the Mika/Shane match-up for "whoa[!] factor", IMHO).
