Jay Helfert keeping me awake at night

Two nights in a row I've gone to bed at my normal time, only to find myself reaching over for my new copy of Pool Wars and being completely immersed in it for an hour or more. I highly recommend anyone who hasn't done so to order a copy of this book; it is an immensely entertaining read for pool nuts like myself. Just be forewarned if you're a nighttime reader, you might find yourself missing a little sleep!

Thanks for the great book Jay,
Aaron

I can't believe I haven't bought this book yet...But, I've barely had any time to read lately...

Try reading sometime with a 2 year old boy running around the room. It's hard. :)

I DID NOT pay Aaron to say this. At least not yet!

How can all you guys read this book in only two days? Don't you know it took me a year to write it?
I guess I just write slow.

Thats a compliment Mr. Helfert.. That means.. that it was such a great read that it was impossible to put down.. Well it was for me anyway.. =).. I read it in one sitting as well..

...and this book makes the subway fly with me and the long 40 minute ride feels like as if it was only a 2 minute stop... I am not finished with it yet, I am at the 104th page or somewhere there, I am the point where I leave it for the Sun and give it water hoping that it would grow a couple more pages to read.

It's like what The Hustler was for pool movies - but this is a book, which makes it a lot better in many ways.

I forgot Jay had a book when I clicked on this thread. I was hoping for pics of Jay jumping up and down making tons of noise at the foot of Aaron's bed.

Same here....

Read 1/2 of it on a 3 1/2 hr flight to Cancun last month.....finished it on the return flight.

GREAT reading....!!!!!

Thanks so much Jay!!!

This book rocks....I'm with the read it in 1/2 day crowd....it's good and the pages just fly by.....Jay writes very conversationally, which makes it easy to read, follow, and get into each and every scene....not bad for someone his age

jk, great book Jay....

If you want to know the "real" history of pool in the last 40 years you have to buy this book. I read it in one night and have read it again to make sure I didn't skip over anything. Pool Wars is the book for you to find out what really happened instead of all the rumors. Johnnyt

<---- wants to know when book 2-3-4-5-6-7 etc... will be available? Don't matter if it has front&back cover on disc. Hell just write it on plain paper, and especially if you made it on audio disc. that would be the total NUTTS.

I had the same problem when trying to read mine at home. And then I take it along on vacation just incase it rained, but it didn't rain but I still read it that week ,needless to say catching h-ll from my wife on vacation and she kept saying put the dorn book down , your on vacation . lol. It is a very good read , I recomend it to all my fellow pool buddies, it's on loan again. I told them to buy there own, I hope there is another one in the works. <<<ED
