Jeremy Jones VS Immonen-Harsh W6rds

Isn't Jeremy British? Was he calling Mika a cigarette? That would be HILARIOUS!!!

For Pete's sake

Every Pool player on earth has been pissed off before, and more than once, and not a one of them is above it either. Sounds like a passive-aggresive, and fuse-sitter got together and got a little caddy, no sense to make into
something other than that.

Reporting back that two POOL players got into an argument that almost led to taking the fight outside is like reporting that my nephew pulled another kids hair at day-care because someone stole his blocks.

Pool players fight about everything, in a certain-heated-hateful-way that you don't find in other sports.... ALLLLLLLLLL the time.

Don't know if Mika is gay, but let me tell everyone this. The last time I saw him at the US Open a year or two ago, he was with the HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTEST girl I think I've ever seen, ever. So, whether he is or isn't -- is not important. He gets hotter punani than me, that's what's important.

JJ is a 4-1 favorite if the fight goes outside.

4-1? Remember, it's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog. I also remember reading that Mika was involved in Judo or some other martial art to work on his endurance and discipline.

It's a simple size and power thing with me. I know that's not always an indicator, since Royce Gracie tore up guys 150 lbs heavier than he was during the earlier days of the UFC. Even if Mika has martial arts training, he's prob just an amateur hack at it since he's not doing it for a living--- so I'd have to give heavy odds to a guy that dwarfs him. Not saying Mika doesn't have a chance, he certainly does (as you said, it's the fight in the dog). I just think his dog would get beat 4 times to Jeremy's 1.

Holy crap, you really LOVE Mika don't you??? I would have made it 7-1. I don't know martial arts, but I have kicked some guy's asses that do. Get enough weight on top of a guy and karate won't save you.

I'd put Floyd Mayweather on you any day of the week. You probably have 50+ pounds on him.

I don't love Mika. I respect him. Just seems like everyone's on Mika because A) he's not American (from the foreigner comments) and B) because he speaks his mind. I'd stick up for JJ if someone did this to him.

I think JJ just didn't have anything wittier to say than f****t. Maybe he was jealous of the hot chicks Mika gets? But I think "lucky shot" and things like that are funny. I'd just tell them to, "Cry more" and continue shooting the lights out. Whether it was a lucky shot or not is irrelevant.

BTW, I love juicy stories like this. Although drama isn't necessarily wanted in the sport, it is interesting as hell and it gives people lots to talk about.

a beef in the pool world ??? come on now just because they are pro's doesn't mean they don't have emotions... to me comments made in the heat of a battle is exactly that..part of a battle. plus you don't know what may have led up to this possibly some bad blood in the past? who knows. someone call mtv we have a new pool celebrity death match on our hands.

Wonder how many of us NEVER had a out of character situation happen in a match, but mind you these guys are supposed to act like professionals, tho I know its extremely difficult because there is no true professional platform and organization like the PGA, or the NFL etc. to come down on them, so it is what it is till its not what it presently is.

Mika Immonen, when he's in competition with his tableside demeanor, could make the Pope kick in a stained glass window!

There, I said it! :o

And, don't think Tiger Woods has never stared his pairing partner down or made a timely comment or two at the most inappropriate time. Mental warfare is to be expected. Sigel used to chirp from the chair all the time. Buddy Hall used to whine from the chair as well. As far as I know, no one ever called them a f-g after the set.

Yes Frank said "Thats Life" but he also said many times "get that bum outta here" or "you stupid f!!k"! I dont take Jeremy's side but Mika has been a real jerk at times. This is my opinion. (I always root for his opponent) Now if thats competition fine. But Ive heard people call each other names in the heat of battle. Like "motherfer". Which is not politically correct either if you think about it.
As far as Mika and his "hot" ladies. The man has YELLOW FEVER and if Jeremy called him "P" whipped I wouldnt disagree.
By the way Jeremy did post some great response to some emails that was asked of him and showed a gentle positive side from him. Never got that feeling from Mika.

Funny thing is that gay (gay this and that, gay you) references is a very American phenomenon.

Can you say BEARD ?

Doug
( I knew that you could ) :)

*BEARD: In gay slang, a beard is a companion of the opposite sex used to hide a ... that a man with a woman on his arm looks more masculine, like a man with a beard. ...

(Not that there's anything wrong with THAT..... imo) :)

I've been going to some small town bars and taverns, and I still don't get it. Guys talking about who is supposedly gay. Why does it matter to them if they are straight anyways?
