Jerry Frankilins' first cue on Ebay?

Kersenbrock`s First Cue

I all I can say is it would be very very hard to put a Price tag on a cue like that with the letter of Authenticity, in my opinion the cue is Priceless.

Craig,

I own David Kersenbrock`s first cue, with provenance written by David along with his signature. These two cues would make a memorable pair!

That would certainly would be an amazing display! Hopefully, one way or another, it will work out that way.

Good luck, Will (and thanks again for the help!).

Will, that would be very nice if those two cues could be put together as a display in a collection. Like I said in the post above it would be very difficult to put a price on Jerry's first cue, and then to add the Kersenbrock Providence and the letter of authenticity for both, would certainly make the set very memorable.

I wish you luck picking it up Will, but I also know Luck had nothing to with it, if you do acquire that cue, it would be great if you could post some photo's of both cues together.

Take care Will.

Hard to believe that they would ever sell that cue. This is a great opportunity for the right buyer.
Mr H

Does anyone know him?... He is 204 @ 100% but his average sale on ebay is about $8.00

It's truly hard to imagine this cue would be put up for sale on the open market. Is it the tough economy causing this sale? I don't know the people involved or the circumstances so, why speculate.

It will be interesting to see if someone steps up and opens for the $18,000. While that opening bid is a lot of money, there is no doubt this is a piece of cuemaking history.

Good luck to anyone hoping to win this treasure.

I do like the idea that was previously mentioned here, however; that if Mr. Prout could be lucky enough to acquire this cue to display alongside his Kersenbrock #1. Talk about a centerpiece pair for a cue collection! WoW.

Alot of people on here know Roger including myself. Anytime I need any information about southwest he is the guy to call. He was personal friends with Jerry and has had all kinds of southwest, still has plenty southwest but doesn't like to talk about those to much. I think it says enough in itself that Lourie trusted him with the cue,and to sale the cue. Last but not least don't worry about Roger if your interested in this cue.

Thanks Greg

Roger is as good as they come and the fact that he is the one selling this makes it even more cool because you know its 100% legit. What a piece of history.

I think I know where this one belongs. :D

The reason this was put up on the open market was because it allows more people to see that the cue is for sale (Exposure). I would bet that even if someone is interested in the cue that it doesn't sell on ebay, I would suspect that a transaction like this is handled behind the scenes for many reasons.

I would not be surprised if there is a negotiation going on as I type this!!

ditto :groucho:

I don't think it'll sell on ebay. Imo it wasn't meant to sell on ebay. Just advertising and getting things rolling. But, Will see.

This is a great history piece and it will go great in anyone's collection. I can't imagine that it will ever be for sale again after this. WOW, I'm speechless........and glad that I have a chance to see this wonderful piece.

Craig;

I should have said it differently. What I meant was that I would have thought that for this monumental cue, there would have been a short list of BIG-roller collectors that would buy this - no public advertising necessary.
