If you are not watching TAR 22 right now you are a damn fool ;). Seriously though, Joe Rogan is awesome with the commentary! Way to go TAR. Its nice to have someone actually knowledgeble about pool that still is just a fan of the game!

I give Joe a BIG pat on the back. He is terrific as a pool commentator. I knew he would be too! Great voice, terrific insights and perceptions and has a knack for asking the right question at the right time. Jerry and Ken both did a good job in the booth with him as well. No surprise there either. Having Joe in the booth is a huge plus for TAR and only makes a great match that much more attractive.

Joe has a good voice but I thought he was annoying. I turned the sound off a few times.

I enjoyed Joe very much. I have seen him play pool, and he plays well, but didn't know he was so into the game. What a down to earth guy he is, which is like most that have nothing prove...because he's been there and done that. Thanks Joe for taking some time out of your busy life to come on TAR and give us all a treat. Well done again TAR. Johnnyt

Agreed, big time.

And way too many digs at Earl.
If you are going to commentate, be impartial, no need for the "gangsta" phrase every 2 seconds.

Other commentator was much better.

Really cool to see joe in the booth. Not only because he's a funny guy but we didn't have to hear Justin saying 'Shane-train' every three minutes. Jerry and Ken in the booth were great also.

Joe was pretty good. I disliked the other two, Jerry and Nick. I can never listen to them. I am sure they are nice people, but we need a Billy I in the booth.

Really???

"Really?
I thought Rogan showed himself to be quite a knowledgeable pool fan!"

You know it's not so simple to get in that booth with somebody, when you've no idea what they know about the game. He seemed, aware of the difficulty in recovering cue-ball position, in poor run-out situations.
"Now that's more awareness than some of my contemporaries show for this game, sometimes!"
PLUS, HE'S A PROFESSIONAL ANNOUNCER, and the guy's entertaining!

Justin mentioned before last years Open, Joe Rogan, might do some commentary for T.A.R.
It would've been fun to do a DVD, recorded match with him, for ACCU-STATS.

It's good for the difficulty of this game to be understood by someone who might be able to give useful insights on improving this sports public relations. IMHO, It's "too good" to have the respect of a talented, opinionated, personality like that around the inner workings of this sport!!!

And if your listening,
Good job tonight Joe, hope you have a great time with our sport all weekend long!

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I think someone like Joe Rogan is GREAT for the game of pool. Brings a different element to the world of pool!

Wait till you guys get to see the videos of the aftermath. Joe and Earl met for the first time and the next half hour was pure gold. There were plenty of people recording it but there is going to be some editing time needed

Your such a tease! I wish Joe would have Earl on his podcast, how funny would that be, take Earl out of his element and away from a pool table, roll one up and let them have some fun on the mic talking about who knows what.

Thanks to TAR and thanks to Joe Rogan for getting in the booth. It can only help bring more attention to these great players.

Joe was great tonight so were Jerry and Ken. I am pretty sure if Willie Mosconi and Minnesota Fats rose from the dead and dropped in to do commentary someone wouldn't like it. Its just the nature of the beast I guess.

Joe said he's going to try to come back tomorrow but it just depends on how long the UFC goes. I hope he can make it. Seeing him and Earl have a conversation was priceless. I caught about 10 minutes of it on my phone and will get it uploaded sometime soon. Lot of people were recording so I'm sure some of it will make it to YouTube.

It was awesome to finally have Joe at a match. Thanks to him for dropping by and volunteering his time in the booth.

Joe was not as impressive as many made him out to possibly be. To many 'wow's and "is that how'd you played it?"' to be up on total pool knowledge status commentary in my opinion.

He was comical in some of his one liners, i will have to admit! And would pay good earned money to see this in our pool community commentary.

But ultimately...Billy I. is the man for our money: Pool commentary, knowledge, skills, etc...! Period, end of statement!

Hopefully, in the futue they can combine Joe R. with Billy I. in the booth!

I have to ask, was this the first time Joe's been in the same room as Earl since he channeled him at the Swanee and was any progress made with them matching up? I seem to recall some woofing awhile back. :grin-square:
