Kudos to JCIN for coming up with a great site :)

Hi Joe Im a pool and fear factor fan from the Philippines. It's nice to see you posting here. I'd like to ask if you tasted our native delicacy the "balut" you use in your show :D And what do you think of Brandon "the Truth" de Vera.

Great site and great interview. Like many others, I had no idea Joe was into pool. Now we just need a good show or tour and have Joe be the host.

P.S. Anyone who calls someone a douchebag in an interview is alright with me! :) That was pretty funny.

Thank you for the compliment Dave. We have some cool things coming up. The one thing I hope we can do is get people talking about big time pool, and get them excited about it.

Nice.

That particular car has always been one of my favorites. Absolutely insane power, great suspension, big honkin brakes, no crazy ass candy flake flame job. Just a Silver ass whippin waiting to happen.

Yeah, I dig the car.

Yeah, that is a bad ass car man. SO, all I have to do is get some people to do some sick sh*t on TV and talk about people kicking the crap out of each other and I can get a car like that too?:)

Welcome to the board Joe, you got the 8.

Awesome Podcast!

Hey Guys, great site and podcast! I did not know that Joe was such an enthusiest. Keep on doing what your doing!

I have to admit, when I delivered and installed Joe's Diamond ProAm 9ft pool table, I didn't know what to expect from Joe. I never really knew much about him, as I was not much of a TV watcher. When I got to his house, my first thoughts were what a "pain in the ass" it was going to be getting this pool table into Joe's house!!!!! After several hours of rolling the table on a dolly across 2 x 8"s to get it all the way around the house so that I could get it into the room where it was going, I finally got it installed, then I had to come back the next day to recover the table, changing the IPT shit cloth to Simonis 860 tour blue and re-buffed the rails...I finally got that done. I came to Joe's house looking at his install as just another job, but left there very impressed. The money for the job was OK, but I guess what impressed me the most, was that after all the work was done, Joe and I played some 8 & 9ball, just goofing off...but I was impressed with the fact that Joe could actually play! I was surprised to say the least. I guess it's because that Joe could actually play that made the job of installing his table...not so bad after all...LOL, I didn't feel like breaking my back went to waste...LOL...seeing that was worth more than the pay...and yes Joe gave me a tip...not that it was needed. The satisfaction that Joe could really play pool, out weighed the pay and the burden of the job.

I can tell you all, that I could tell by the look in Joe's eyes, the way he walked around the table addressing his shots, and the way he stroked his cue...he's hooked on the game...LOL. I'm sure we'll all see more of Joe around the pool tournaments in the future...LMAO...if not as a player, then for sure as a rail bird!

Glen

PS. Joe...I'm in Erie, PA right now doing my job of either delivering or setting up pool tables, but I'll be heading to California shortly...you still have my extention cord hooked up to your pool table light?...LOL...I'll play you a race to 5 to get it back or just stop by and pick up the money for the extention cord and you can keep it...I think I paid about $250 for it....LMAO

Bill Finnegan sent me this note and asked me to post it for him...

I just got the wire to check out the podcast, and I enjoyed a lot of
what Joe Rogan said. Since I have been running tournaments and around
the game for many years in NY I have seen some of the best players
play and the truth is that people do love the action. Most of the top
players in the game stay in action, and there is a big following and
level of interest in great match ups to see how the players handle
the pressure. Pool does need a little spice and the key is bringing
it to TV, in an entertaining way.

I am surprised that no body quickly brought up some of the things
that Blair Thein and Jerry Tarantola are in the process of
accomplishing in the pool world. Jerry Tarantola "Jerry T" grew up
with all of the Killers from NY and while he still plays the game
strong, he has been focusing his energy to push the sport of pool
into the limelight in several ways. He is still working on preparing
his launch for NYCgrind.com and is also working with Blair Thein "The
Fighting Pool player" on launching "Pool, Poker and Pain" The
Ultimate Billiard/Poker Extreme Challenge" and currently has Dennis
Hatch slated as his opponent and over 20 guys on board to be a part
of it (including several of my tournament players).

Blair and Jerry have stirred up action many times as they come
through promoting and bringing action to my tournaments and several
pool rooms in NY, as they promote and expose new talent that they are
working with. Jerry T has also been shooting footage for his website
NYCgrind.com and "Diaries of Pool Hustlers" the other reality show
that Blair and Jerry are working on, and Jerry plans to offer a lot
of behind the scenes footage for the shows on NYCgrind.co which I
can't wait to see up.

Pool, Poker and Pain is a character based reality show that circles
around the lives of 16 extreme athletes as they prepare for this
ultimate challenge match. They are shooting for the stars and have
won the support of all of the players in the Tri State area who are
on the grind. Blair and Jerry are the real deal, and NY is pulling
for Jerry to help Blair get this concept on air and give the pool
world a heart transplant. ASAP Jerry T, is a big money player and has
a big heart on and off the table, as he looks to continue his push in
being a major player in this industry, while he represent NY, the
players he is helping and the sport of pool.

The bottom line is I am a supporter of what Jerry and Blair are in
the process of doing and I while they are not releasing many of the
details of their progress, watch out pool world for NYCgrind.com and
Pool, Poker and Pain.

Joe Rogan should be reaching out to them asap, since they have been
gaining momentum in their push. Joe is cool, and he could position
himself well if he could work with Blair and Jerry in their push. Joe
Rogan knows about the grind, because he has experienced it as a pool
player and a comedian

Haha, well when you get back in town let me know and I would be happy to give it back to you, Glen :)
I got it hooked up professionally by an electrician now so it's all set.
If you wanna play a race to 5 that would be fun too! I've been practicing on it now :)

Thanks for hooking it all up, man. You really did a great job.

I figured you'd want to play a race to 5...I know you've been practicing, how could you resist...LOL. It'll be a little while before I can get to your area as I still have some Diamond pool tables I have to deliver to North Dakota, Montana, and Idaho, then head to Las Vegas, pick up tables, then head to California...I have a 9ft Diamond Professional that "Brendon" in Cali is dying to get...LOL.

I'll call you Joe and let you know when I'm close to see if we can hook up. I didn't get to see your Cuda last time there, maybe this time...LOL.

I saw the show Super was referring too, and Joe did not play nearly as poorly as he says. If I remember correctly it was a scotch doubles format, so how could you judge with that I have no idea. I also clearly remember a thread on one of the boards which talked about the show and everyone agreed that Joe was the only one who had a clue.
This is the whole reason I mentioned him on the recent "Celebs that play pool" thread and "outed" him. In our celeb driven society, pool can use all the spotlight we can get. Joe has proven not only to be pool junkie like the rest of us, but down to earth enough to post on this forum and answer everyones questions. A lot weaker men would have run a long time ago...
