HERE'S AN INLAID EARLY 80'S JOSSWEST CUE WITHTHE SIDEWAYS W LOGO......

BUTT IS 30" LONG, AND COMES WITH 2 SHAFTS, WITH ORIGINAL YELLOW MICARTA FERRULES...... 1 IS 13.1MM AND 32", THE OTHER IS 30" AND 12.5MM. CUE WEIGHS 20.5 OUNCES, BUT I CAN MAKE IT LIGHTER (HAS A HEAVY BOLT IN IT)

CUE PLAYS EXTREMELY WELL, AND THE WEIGHT BALANCES VERY WELL. CUE STILL HAS WHAT LOOKS TO BE ORIGINAL TIPS ON IT. (I WOULD REPLACE WITH NEW WIZARDS IF THE BUYER WANTS)

THE BUTT AND SHAFTS ARE STRAIGHT, AND IN ORIGINAL CONDITION. (NOT PERFECT, BUT NOT BAD) HAS AN ORIGINAL SMOOTH BLACK LEATHER WRAP

CUE HAS SOME FINISH WEAR, AND A DENT BELOW THE JOINT. IT WOULD NEED A REFINISH TO BE PERFECT, BUT THAT'S TO BE EXPECTED IN A CUE OF THIS AGE.

I'LL TAKE $OLD PENDING PAYMENT

to the top for a nice jw

thanks....i love bumps.

I know the specs on this cue, aren't "the norm" but it plays very well.

If somebody buys the cue, and wants the long shaft cut down to 30" to match the butt, i will have that done at my cost.

The shaft that is 30" now when used on this butt, moves the cue ball very easily

IT'S A GREAT PIECE OF CUE HISTORY......

IN RESPONSE TO A PM, HERE ARE PICS WITH THE SHAFTS. I'M NOT SURE WHY I DIDN'T HAVE THEM IN MY ORIGINAL PICS, BUT HERE THEY ARE.

That's a steal!

I have one with the same design, blk leather wrap, a black butt, BEM with clear finish. That's a steal at that price! Bill's cues from that era are a piece of cue history, probably made in Colorado Springs CO. Good luck.

i agree that it is most likely a colorado cue.....

For a taller guy looking for a monster player....this is it.

Bump with a question.

A buddy of mine said he used to play with an old JW that was 57". I occassionally see a 60" cue, how many 57" cues (especially JW) do you think are out there?

Is it at all common?

alot of cues from the 70's (and earlier) were 57 or 57.5" cues. The total number of such cues would be almost impossible to figure out.

From the info i have compiled about the old jw's, alot were 57"/57.5". It may have actually been his standard for a while. I also see alot of overlength cues from jw. I've also had many different butt diameters from teh same time frame, so i think bill did alot of truly custom orders.

Am I correct in that the outside veneer is CNC? Looks rounded in the picture.

Mine is 57

Like I said earlier in this thread I have one quite similiar to this one. It was made about the same time. I just measured it and it is 57 inches long also. I had Dave kikel make me a 30 inch shaft back when he was in Colorado Springs, mid 80's?
