In today's world it's worth $250-275 at most. Glws

The funny thing about offers less than the asking price is that you have the option to say no to them.

However, the choice to go with a good, solid "go **** yourself"... That's just pure class.

Thats why I seldom respond to sellers looking for offers. If I do, I ask them to give me an asking price.

For one, I'm probably not that great at offers and two, you're probably not going to like my offer very much.

There is probably a huge spread in what a seller wants to hear and what I feel like paying or what your item is genuinely worth.

Some folks feel that they should use an item for a year or two, put damages on it and then its still worth 25 bucks less than what they paid for it.

On the other hand, if you got a GFY PM, you may have deserved it.

Actually it's worth more! Have you ever heard of a pool cue going down in value??

IMO, you deserved it.

I have no problem with a low offer. I get them all the time when I offer something for sale.

The answer is NO.

Ken

That is the easiest way and best for all.

People always want a superdeal and won't get it, unless they ask.

I agree BB. The ad says he was motivated and make an offer. If you won't take less than X, state that to start with to avoid any low ball offers.

And many times a low ball offer is made in order to start negotiations. So a counter offer is much better than a response that was given here.

Stating you're open to offers or a motivated seller isn't a free pass to hurl profanities if you don't like the offer.

I get insane low ball offers all the time. I thank them for their offer and let them know where I can compromise if at all.

Hurling insults because you didn't like the offer seems awfully petty and immature.

There are plenty of people who list cues for 500 but in the end take the first 200 bucks.

If you can't deal with low ball offers then clearly state that you're firm or that there might be a little wiggle room but will not entertain low ball offers.

Or just be outright honest about it and that you're willing to listen to offers but if you don't like the offer you reserve the right to insult the member who made the offer because things on the internet cause you to overreact.

Mike doesn't have much of a smooth touch it seems. He kind of ramped it up quickly from 'you're trying to rape me' to 'GFY'. But I can feel his frustration coming through. Probably sick of joke offers.

I agree with what Bishop wrote. To add, alot of guys who buy are just
looking to flip the cue not play with it.With they submit a low offer is
usually so it doesn't over-lap into there profit margin.
The high percentage of stuff on this site is second hand with all different
sale pitches to sell it.
If somebody is accepting offers, than you have to take the good with the bad.
I know were all adults, and telling someone to''go f--k themselves'' should
just roll off your back, but I believe with a response like that might make
people think a little different dealing with this seller.
Is it a big deal,no not really but I like to see things like this brought to
the forefront,so any future dealings I do on this site are done with people
who are going to talk to me like a human being.

I've had a lot of rediculously low offers on cues....probably made a few myself. one guy shot me a BS offer recently and my reply wasn't go eff yourself but I did make it clear his offer was a blatant insult. When he came back with a rediculous explanation for said rediculous offer I responded with a polite "good bye" and put him on ignore.
I dont know if it was the right thing to do but I felt better afterwards.
