the cues & cases i wanted to sell for $200, my integrity was called into question

i can understand that, i am not a usual poster on azb

anyway, here are a few quotes for just the cues alone [with one shaft]

as i hope you can see, me selling the cues for $200 with a leather or 'whitten style' synthetic case would be a losing proposition for me, besides, the cues i was selling came with two shafts [not only one]

but i bought the cues & cases not for a profit - but for gifts for those less fortunate to have a Great cue and case = why do i say "Great", because i use one myself [it is my player] - despite the fact that i have much more expensive cues = i truly find both the cue and case excellent

all in all, if you remember the thread i was not selling for 'profit', i was selling to help other azb'ers

and to boot i was adding another $200 personally to each sale for the benefit of a few of us who were hurting [those of you that know the thread know what i am talking about]

anyway, the thread was pulled but i still did what i wanted to do, maybe 'needed to do' for the sake of a few with difficulties in life at the moment

i am fine but a bit saddened by some of you, but only those that do not see and know that helping someone in need can be more important than accumulating wealth with cues. that is the way i live my life - i know that others disagree...

There are two sayings -

The ends justify the means or

The means justify the ends.

In this case, you fall into saying #2. I don't agree with your method and certainly do not agree with you calling out two posters specifically on this board - one I consider a good friend - when you obviously know nothing about them. And even if you did know anything about them, it still lacks respect, character, and any thought in singling anyone out like you did. If you want to do right, you owe an apology - not an explanation of how great of a giver you are.

There I said it - now all I expect is for you to berate me, which is more of your m.o.

i really don't want to say more than i have already said. i tried to say it carefully. i do not want to hurt anyone

I know what you're trying to say Smokey but when you do a good deed for someone there are only two people that need to know about it.

Yourself, you know the true meaning and goodness of your heart and so does our Creator.

Everyone else is irrelevant.
 
whether or not the whole thing is handled right i don't know

but Smokey is a soft hearted fellow who likes to help others
