Fantastic cue, awesome wood and great tips. How long was the wait? Would love to have similar.
Thanks for the comments guys. I think the tips are UltraSkins! Mike gives them the thumbs-up so I'm going to have them installed on 2 of the 4 shafts coming with my Lambros cue that is in the works.
This cue belongs to Matt (Lenoxmjs) and is on its way to him. He might be open to selling this extraordinary cue unchalked new, so it wouldn't hurt to inquire. The cue took 11 months from beginning to delivery. There was good fortune in acquiring the burls for the cue, but it didn't happen by magic and the woods needed further time to be ready to work. I'm happy to discuss and help design a Lambros cue order with a potential buyer anytime. I'm excited to have a new Mike Lambros cue coming for myself.
Martin
Hello Martin, Can you tell us which tips Mike installed on this cue S M or H?? I have owned his cues in the past and know how particular he is about tips, and everything else for that matter.
I bought a piece of Honduran Rosewood Burl several
years ago, and kept it, and kept it, and kept it, trying to decide
who I'd want to build the cue for me. The decision was finally
made based on a couple of criteria. 1) Playability 2) Rarity and
finally 3) Collectability. I wanted the cue to be first and foremost
a great player, second and third almost in one, I wanted the
cue to be made by a cuemaker in which receiving a cue from
this person would be a very hard commodity to come by and
something that would be sought after by the world's most
distinguished collector's. I see that Martin has made a similar
decision in choosing Mr. Lambros to build this cue. Congratulations
to Mike, Martin, and to the owner of this cue. It's an awesome cue!
