Latest edition of the Scooter and Tedder show....

Guys like that aint ever gonna get a job, there are legal ways to make $$ and not have a job-IMO thats what they should explore. I had a job once for 3 weeks in the kitchen at Great American Billiards and it was the biggest waste of my time ever. I made $4/hr in 88. So one day i worked 8 hours made $32 got off work played a $50 race to 9 lost in 45 minutes, now I'm at the poolroom going on 10-11 hours and i'm stuck $18. I played nother set with this in mind and won 9-3 or 9-4. Got even went home and that was my last job. I used my brain not my time to earn $$$. These guys didnt use either.

Eric -

That might be my favorite post you ever wrote on AZ.

Sincerely thanks.

Ken

Looks like they dropped dimes? If there was an investigation prier to, then maybe no dimes dropped. Unless you have other knowledge? They may be thieves, but calling them a rat may be a little out of line. Just sayin !!!!

Now that's funny! I may be a thief but I have honor by god!!

You wouldnt believe the pool players that were out on the road, with a Rake and pressure, 7 pin, 8 pin and 9 pins and all the number codes.

Its no secret anymore, the police know whats going on as does the venders.

Its a very tough living out there now, with all the new technology, as in cameras as small as a fingertip.

This was a very good scam for a very long time, so get out while you can boys, times have changed!
This is not a scam, it is outright theft.

Do I have this right? The knuckleheads steal in front of a camera, while the owner is present, they run, the cops respond, and the knuckleheads drive back to the crime scene while the cops are there - with all but a signed confession in the car?

That's priceless. You just can't make this sh1t up.

I was thinking the same thing. They say criminals always return to the scene of the crime. I just didn't realize it was so quick!

I was going to play him one time. But when we went to post the weight of his coin purse brought the light down!!!!

This is not a scam, it is outright theft.

Ok so let my get this clear, you are saying, since this is a theft, then it cant be a scam?

What do you call a person that scams people out of their money, they are not theives in your mind, then what would you call them? Lenders!

Think before you post next time, Many many scams are thefts, Which are illegal!

Hate 9 to 5 + can't manage money when you make it = broke. Broke = desperation.

Question - will they learn from it or continue on the same path?

Will be WAY out of stroke when they leave the grey bar hotel in their rear view mirror, so, the future may be worse than the past

sad on many levels

"Police say they also discovered paper money folded with clear tape attached to it, along with numerous reels of fishing line, packing tape and super glue. Officers also found a large number of quarters in the SUV."

Those dumb cops. This is a standard issue "End of the Known World" survival kit for rednecks!

When I was going to High School, I worked in a stock room but didn't have a lot of extra to throw around. We had a small pin ball joint close to school. At that time many of the pin ball machines were a nickel. Thats were we hung around at lunch time.

I used to collect the knock outs from electrical boxes, take them in the garage and file them to a perfect nickel. Then, the next day, I was a Pin Ball Wizard.

The old Chinese man who owned the joint must have freaked when he opened the change boxes and saw 1400 slugs in there.

The guilt after all these years was just too much, I had to tell you guys.

Just the other day, I was waiting in line at a change machine, behind a blonde. I noticed that she kept on putting one bill after another into the machine.
I was running behind a bit and wanted change to buy a Pop. So, I asked her how long she was going to be. She turned around to look at me and said, "do you mind, I'm winning".

if these guys had to work hard labor

I would think that most of us on AZ have been working our 9 to 5, shift work all our lives. Whatever, its like being in the military, you don't have to like it but you have to do it.

I started working when I was 14. We weren't rich. I had to if I wanted extra. I think the worst thing that ever happened was to get rid of Chain Gangs in prison.

Now its almost like Disney Land in smaller jails in Canada where you do 2 years less a day instead of a Federal Pen.

TV, game room, internet and phone access etc. Get out there in the hot sun or 30 below. Dig holes and when you are done, fill them back in and start a new one. Beak rocks with a sledge hammer. Make jails a very unpleasant experience and chances are, a large percentage might not want to return.

Now, you can go to jail, get 3 squares a day and come out with a University education.

Regardless of how stupid it was to do it still sucks. I feel bad for them [and for the car wash owners who they got] and hope things somehow work out for them. I enjoy them around the poolroom when we cross paths and they usually get something going. I really don't care where they get their money and they sure do put what they have into play.

There is something special about how quick many AZers pile it on when a good player screws up. I know, if you all wanted to you "waste" your life and play pool you could probably beat Shane every day. If the good players had jobs they would never be able to beat you. When players get backed it isn't as valuable as betting your own like you all do. Pool players are scum, stupid, and miscreants of the worst degree yet so many join the ranks of AZ to give their expert advice and oh so valuable opinions. People always argue about what's wrong with pool and it is the general pool population.

Scooter shouldn't have done what he did but he is going to pay enough for his actions already without the unnecessary bashing, jokes, and general ridicule. I am not attacking everyone who has posted. It is just ridiculous how some of the people just keep going with it. If they need something to do get in the car and go play someone. Even me, if I do happen to win I will send some to Scooter and Tater if they have to do time. I am a school teacher so you don't have to worry since you all can probably beat anyone with a career.

Here is the problem I have... I knew one of our local players was pulling this of years ago at the car washes.... I also knew he was likely the guy I needed to play to hit the next level... I couldn't fade playing him because if I lost I had to pump up thru work and all he had to do was make a loop... How do you figure that when the money is that easy that they had any respect for it? Of course it was in play.... If I had an ATM card for someone else s money I could freewheel and keep all "MY" money in action too....

No offense intended but as a school teacher I would think critical thinking was required... I am going to chalk this up to the fact that you have a liking for the guys and are just sick over the choices they made..... I have a long list of friends who are currently in the greybar inn and it pisses me off as well when I see people piling on here and around town about the situations but it doesn't make me lose perspective... but the Scooter news is new so I will give you that....

Chris

I would stick a gun in your face and steal your money but I would never pull the trigger.

If I found a wallet with 1000 dollars and a credit card in it, I would look at the ID and if the person was a senior citizen, I would return it.

I would break into your home and clean you out but only if you lived in a nice neighborhood and I knew you were probably well off and had insurance.

The car wash owner was probably a scum hole and using his profits for drugs, gambling
and prostitutes and not using it to support his family. That is why I feel justified in my actions.

See, I'm a nice criminal. I have my standards.

Look, a criminal is a criminal and a thief is a thief. Don't make excuses for them just because you know them or played a few games of pool with them. If they stayed at your house and were hard up, I bet they might be walking out of your house with more than they came in with.

So the reason you didn't hit the next level is because you couldn't afford to play one guy huh? I'm having a hard time buying that one.

And give this some thought. Would you really play high stakes if you had access to quick cash or would you think twice about it and decide that even though it is easy money you have better ways to use it. I have found that people who like to bet it will do it regardless of where the money comes from. You either have that gene in you or you don't. There are plenty of 9-5 ers who love the action as well as plenty of guys who can easily afford to lose but hate to gamble. I'd be willing to bet that you fall somewhere in between.

I hear you but I am not losing perspective over any of it. I said I feel bad for them and the car wash owners. I don't think I said anything to condone what they did at all but people are going to write whatever they feel justifies their opinions.

I really don't see the relevance of a critical thinking jab in there either but apparently you did so that is all that matters. If you honestly can't comprehend the nature of my comments I would suggest working on your own CT skills. Maybe we should create a CT workshop on AZ.

I was wasn't even referring to you two anyways but think, do, and say whatever you want to and just hope that noone ever finds out when the glass houses you all live in break. I am sure that I won't be checking in on this thread so if anyone wants to gripe go ahead and get ahold of me.

Funniest excuse I have ever heard for not being able to beat someone.

I have relatives in KY and a shifty brother that knows all kinds of convicts. Scooter and Teddy can expect some hard time if they go to any state run facility. I'm told there is a heightened sense of sexual excitement in penitentiary sex, a sort of mystique, and in the middle of the night when romance comes knocking, he may not like it when they hold him down. Purdy....real purdy.
Definitely not worth a bag of quarters.

Hi, my name is Doug and I'm kind of the like the Welcome Wagon here in prison.

Doug, do you like base ball?
Scooter. Yeah, I love base ball.
Doug. Yer gonna love Mondays because we play baseball all day long.

Doug. Do you like playing pool?
Scooter. Oh man, do I ever.
Doug. yer gonna love Tuesdays because we play pool all day Tuesday.

Doug, Scooter, are you Homosexual or heterosexual.
Scooter. hetero all the way home.
Doug. Yer gonna hate Wednesdays.

I enjoy them around the poolroom when we cross paths and they usually get something going. I really don't care where they get their money and they sure do put what they have into play.

Mike, my reading comprehension are just fine, I read every word of your post.

When I read your statement: I really don't care where they get their money, they put it into play. I read into that as exactly how you stated it. Plain and simple.
