i have tried the samsara break tip and i like it.what else out there that i can try for my break cue?i just hate the phenolic tip on it and would like to replace with a leather tip.any suggestions?thanks in advance!

White diamond tips are also pretty popular and are BCAPL legal. Not sure it's leather though, but rather some kind of fiber.

EDIT: The BCAPL rule states the contacting portion of the tip must be made of leather. Since the WD is not a leather tip it would seem it is not legal for breaking under BCAPL rules.

I took a LePro and cut the height down about 70% i must say i still have it on my break shaft With no complaints.

I have been using SuperPro Tips on all my Break Cues
and Playing Cues for a couple of years now and they perform
so well most of my friends switched to them also.
They are very affordable and last a long time with
minimal grooming.

Go park a car on top of a triangle tip and compress it to all hell. That's a nice tip to use compressed down.

i also heard about this white diamond tips and not sure either if they are leather or fiber.do you know if this works as well for jump cue?

Someone sent me a Tiger Icebreaker and I put it on an old Ernie Martinez J/b.
I don't know if it's the tip, the cue, or the combination, but my break was instantly improved.

I copied this sales bs from Tiger's website.
They're kind of expensive, but definitely high tech

Icebreaker® Phenolic/Leather Cue Tip
Tiger Products challenged itself in creating a jump/break cue tip that makes it easier for the user to execute close - quarters aerial jump shots and execute an iceberg shattering break shot. All of this without sacrificing accurate cue ball control and avoiding the dreaded miscue. Following three years of tireless research and development, we at Tiger Products have created the definitive jump/break cue tip of the future! This hybrid cue tip utilizes an ultra hard laminated leather core, with *leather contact surface, allowing for greater chalk adhesion and the phenolic jacket restricts cue tip expansion upon impact. So, all the power you put in to your stroke transfers immediately and accurately to the cue ball without cause for miscue. The result is: increased break shot speeds and "light as feather" jump shots! Manufactured with the VACULAM™ process, this copyrighted Tiger technology has produced an incredibly powerful tip!
Icebreaker® Cue Tips, power beyond imagination!

that sounds very interesting.how much did it cost you to get them?

A frend of mine from Alaska uses a white dimond for his jump cue its a good choice.

the white diamond is a resin type tip, it's super hard like phenolic. holds chalk a lot better, but many people have gluing problems, seems to be hard to get these suckers to stay on some ferrules. they're legal in BCAPL for jump cues, but not for breaking. they don't damage the balls

Yup getting them to stay on is a diffrent can of worms

Hanshew

James Hanshew presses a Water Buffalo tip I have had one for a couple of years now. Breaks great and jumps good.

Break cue

I have 2 shafts for my break cue, so I had my Cuemaker, Bob Owen (Gabe's Dad), put what he calls a Super Dud on one of my shafts. I like it quite a bit, and it only cost $20 to do it. Shurtz Custom Cues phone number is 316-269-3844. right here in Wichita.

Sumo, blood super, talisman xx..........are all good too

Install a carbon fiber pad between the White Diamond and the shaft. This solved the problem for me.

The White Diamond is soft. It can be shaped with a tip tool easily. This tip grips well. I can get back spin or follow on jump shots. Controlling whitey on the break is much easier.

If this tip is banned from BCAPL it's probably because it's easier to ban all phenolics than suffer nit picking arguments over tip type.

If you liked he samsara jump/break tip....just put one on.

They are a great choice for a break cue

Also heard great things about the Madman break tips, but I havent tried one yet.
