With all respect Craig...Playing Off The Rail was not fictional. All information was collected personally by the author. There may be information that is sometimes stretching the truth...but it is essentially all truth.

Scott, they did much more than stretch the truth, there was out and out lies as told in the book. However, I base this solely on the portion of the trip to Seattle. I personally know the other individuals named in the book, and at least that part of the book is much more fictional than factual. Now let us have the truth be known, Bucktooth would not even be known by 95% of the people on this forum, even in this country if that book was never written. This is why, I call the book fictional, however, I mean no disrespect to your comments, everyone is entitled to their own opinions!!!!!!!!

Have a good night Scott!!!!!

I am glad someone finally brought this up. I have wanted to start a thread regarding how Azbilliards has become like a Fatboy worship circus, but I am too new, and my opinion is not quite respected yet. But, he is someone who just took up pool a year ago( by his admission), and the fact that he was willing to spend 3 grand to enter the ring game at DCC, is like me buying a soda at the store. It was a whim, and he decided to do it because he can afford to lose 3 G's without noticing. I personally believe that for Fatboy, pool is just a phase he will grow out of. But, for the moment, he has found a group of people who believe in him, and want him to do well, here on AZ. Every person, rich or not, wants the exact same thing. The difference is, Fatboy has a LOT of money, which for some people is the same thing as having character.

P.S. Fatboy, I read your post where you bragged about not going to your mother's funeral, and actually going to work that day. You related this story as a testament to how much heart YOU had (and people with true heart never brag on themselves), but I found your lack of emotion quite inhuman. You tell a lot of stories about how cool you are, but having listened to your commentary on TAR at the Derby, and your resultng excuses for why you sucked so badly (real AZer's are following me here) prove that maybe you're just a rich guy who was never cool, who hopes money can buy him friends.

My rep will probably plummet after this post, but someone had to say what at least some of us are thinking.

Since you mentioned my mom, I'll say something in this thread. I worked that day because thats what my mom WANTED. I did the same the day I lost my dad, I miss them both more than I can describe, i'm an only child and have no family and its a lonely spot. I am lucky enough to finally have a god girl, she was around before the $$$ so she is on the square. Someday were gonna have a family. I'll be a great dad and she will be a great mom, I made sure of that before hand.

I' a regular guy and have feelings like we all do, i'm no better than anyone else, and like everyone else make the most of what I can-I'm not obsessed with my image or $$$ its fun in spots for a few minutes but I dont let it control who I am, I had a friend who got pumped up to $40,000,000 playing craps, he let the $$$ and image control him, I will say the comps were amazing-I was just tagging along for a few months, he was out of control. I said then I wouldnt ever get like that.

you guys have fun trying to figure me out.....a word to the wise, i'm a simple guy. And yeah that ring game was fun and I will be there again, I can play a little, enough that I dont have to be embarassed to go out there infront of everyone and play, forget the $3,000, have you ever played infront of ALL your peers? Thats wanted to experience.

Wow, he is so amazing, he can buy and sell bucktooth, he has 95k with him at one time.

Jay says a casino turned him down cold when he wanted to play blackjack for 100k.

SO WHAT.

I agree with another thread that said for all he talks about his money, his cars, how he can buy and sell people, he hasn't done anything.

Load up the flame cannons, and fire away.........

+1!

I mean, what if Bill Gates cared enough..or even Warren Buffett, to say; "let's flip for it"...Uh..fatboy would loseit all...sooner or later. Especially if the flip was legit.

Money is money...skill is skill.

Dude,

You don't need to defend yourself or your actions to a bunch of jealous kids with keyboards. You are who you are and as long as you can look in the mirror I say F**k 'em. I have also questioned your posting habits in the past but I would like to think that I did so with a little tact. The way some people are giving you sh*t is unwarranted.

Keep doing what makes you feel good. Life is too short to sweat the critics.

A quick summary. Bucktooth has been saying fatboy has no gamble for months now. Bucktooth talks about all the cash he has. Cornfed (bucktooth?) has bombarded this site for ages trying to bait a few to gamble with bucktooth. Bucktooth was on camera talking about how much money and gamble he has. In that moment fatboy pulled out a bag of money and asked bucktooth to flip for it, Bucktooth would not. To me it shows that Bucktooth didn't have the cash and/or the gamble he has been bragging about this whole time and Fatboy did (which Bucktooth claimed fatboy has no gamble). All of this was recorded on film. I think it's a great punk. Fatboy did not just start playing pool. He picked it up after a long lay-off. Fatboy has nothing to do with Keith not playing. Nut-swinger is a lame term that is being over-used. Just because a person sides with fatboy or anyone else does not mean you worship them. There, I made my points

Why does this have to be about "swinging' " or "hatin' " at all? Is it necessary to go to either extreme? Don't we all love the game of pool? Isn't that why we travel hundreds if not thousands of miles every year, spend countless hours trying to get better? We read the books, and watch the movies no matter how bad they are! To most people, Fatboy is just a character in a pool story. That's all. Period. Enjoy it or don't, it's your choice. Props to those who stood tall and said what they had to say. There might be a few people hanging around waiting to make a living off of Fatboy, but isn't the guy who makes a name for himself by bashing, also living off of Fatboy?

No one that has met fatboy in person will have a negative thing to say about him. Dude is cool as a fan.

AS I MENTIONED IN A PREVIOUS THREAD, MET FATBOY AT DCC AND LIKE HIM VERY MUCH. WHILE A FAT FRAUD AS HE IS NOT FAT, WE DISCUSSED HIS BUSINESS WHICH I UNDERSTAND AND WILL MEET SOON TO SEE IF WE MIGHT HELP EACH OTHER. I FIND HIS BUCKTOOTH CONFRONTATION PLEASANT BECAUSE BUCKY STARTED IT AND FATBOY SHUT HIM UP; I FIND THAT CHARMING.

SEE YOU SOON FATBOY; YOU ARE OK IN MY BOOK.

I have lots of friends that I think have loads of money. And I have lots of friends that think I'm the one with loads of money. It's all relative. But it's not the money that makes us friends.

I could care less if Fatboy had $10 to his name or $10Million. I don't judge people by their bank accounts, but by their character. Their character is defined by their actions - when no one is watching. I think Fatboy is a good guy - money or not. This thread calling him out is out of line and is not an accurate reflection of the AZ community. And, it's not fair to take one single tourney, out of context, and use that to define a person. I'm sure lots of folks acted a little out of the norm at DCC. It's not unheard of to do so when you're on a mini-vacation.

Fatboy, my apologies from all the negative press. I sincerely believe it does not reflect the majority of the AZ community.

thanks man, i agree and not because i'm the topic. its the concept we should try and make an effort to only be positive with each other, hell it dosent cost anything to be nice.

I would have to agree with td873. Why would anyone attack Fatboy in this thread or any other. Since I have been reading his posts, he has never attacked anyone, he does not retailiate when attacked and he seems like a righteous dude to me.

Sorry I did not get to meet you at the DCC, I was pulling for you anyway. You are alright in my book.

Peace out, JBK

I agree, props to Fatboy for playing but man I sure wish Archer and Tadd were there insteat of Fatboy and Art, it would have made for a much more entertaining way to spend a couple of hours watching a ring game. Maybe next year they can have a ring game for wealthy average players, hell maybe I will even risk 3k and take a shot at Fatboy and Art:D :D

Do not let the negativity of this entire thread get you down Fatboy and keep posting here I enjoy what you have to say, I would like to see you get involved with the TAR boys if you are inclined to do so, I think you could do some good for the sport.

Ya Know What !

I do not understand why people think the way they do. So Fatboy Punks Bucktooth, has a lot of cash, cars, nice house, and whatever he wants. So knock him. Do they have any idea what kind of Good Works Fatboy might be doing that he doesn't talk about. I was thinking about this last night. I have read his posts and find him to be entertaining and honest. He has admitted that he ain't always been right and he owns up to that. I for one am happy that he is successful and enjoying life. I also think that he does some good things that doesn't get out.
Fatboy, good job at DCC and have a great year. I ain't hanging from your doo dads either, I am still on the tit!:D Momma always told me that ya don't get hit by the tomatoes until you stand up! Now ya know why they are cracking on ya.
Peace, Purdman

i never had a shot to speak of, when i backwards cut the 6 i saw the kiss for the scratch and I hit it well....I scratched. The only other shot I had wasnt really a shot-a champion would have made it and got out(that one little thing makes the difference). No doubt the ring game would have been better with Archer or Tadd, I could have given either of them my spot, Archer wanted me to play(I asked him) and Tadd wanted it, but I wanted the experience and that was that(I wasnt gonna pull-up last minute after committing to playing in it), I drew #1 for the first break then #6 and #5 so I was 11 innings behind the champions, then got knocked out, which was bad bad luck for a weaker player like me. It was cool though, I didnt get nervious etc and next year I WILL do better. It was schedualed for just over 2 hours so Scott Smith made sure the amounts of the bets controlled the length of the game-not the quality of play, its a real game but kinda a exibition too because it isnt a flat bet grind it out deal. Shane played best and won,,,,,so why did I bet against him a week later:confused:

SVB saw me in the elevator right after he beat Alex(and got my $$$) and laughed at me-we both laughed, were friends and it was funny but I'd like to have the $$$ back it wasnt that funny, i'm still ahead on shane with the ring game loss and action added up. I told alot of people dont bet against SVB now and I didnt listen to my own advice, live by the sword die by the sword, good for SVB. next time i'm gonna bet on him. It was cool talking to him during the ring game, I caught a break there it made me feel like I belonged, and I do I can play a little, maybe not enough to win but I can get out playing 10 ball from the break sometimes.

Is There A Weight Restriction On 'Nut Swinging' ?

Even though I've been married to every 'natural' hair color and 21 years to my current wife (The Barbarachnid: my creepy-scary, red-headed, blood-sucking, spider-wife), I find myself strangely being attracted more & more to FATBOY each day.

( not that there's anything wrong with THAT..... imo ) :)
