I have wanted to start a thread regarding how Azbilliards has become like a Fatboy worship circus, but I am too new, and my opinion is not quite respected yet. But, he is someone who just took up pool a year ago( by his admission), and the fact that he was willing to spend 3 grand to enter the ring game at DCC, is like me buying a soda at the store. It was a whim, and he decided to do it because he can afford to lose 3 G's without noticing. I personally believe that for Fatboy, pool is just a phase he will grow out of. But, for the moment, he has found a group of people who believe in him, and want him to do well, here on AZ. Every person, rich or not, wants the exact same thing. The difference is, Fatboy has a LOT of money, which for some people is the same thing as having character.
P.S. Fatboy, I read your post where you bragged about not going to your mother's funeral, and actually going to work that day. You related this story as a testament to how much heart YOU had (and people with true heart never brag on themselves), but I found your lack of emotion quite inhuman. You tell a lot of stories about how cool you are, but having listened to your commentary on TAR at the Derby, and your resultng excuses for why you sucked so badly (real AZer's are following me here) prove that maybe you're just a rich guy who was never cool, who hopes money can buy him friends.
My rep will probably plummet after this post, but someone had to say what at least some of us are thinking.

Jay says a casino turned him down cold when he wanted to play blackjack for 100k.
SO WHAT.
I agree with another thread that said for all he talks about his money, his cars, how he can buy and sell people, he hasn't done anything.
Load up the flame cannons, and fire away.........
Dude,Fatboy said:Since you mentioned my mom, I'll say something in this thread. I worked that day because thats what my mom WANTED. I did the same the day I lost my dad, I miss them both more than I can describe, i'm an only child and have no family and its a lonely spot. I am lucky enough to finally have a god girl, she was around before the $$$ so she is on the square. Someday were gonna have a family. I'll be a great dad and she will be a great mom, I made sure of that before hand.
I' a regular guy and have feelings like we all do, i'm no better than anyone else, and like everyone else make the most of what I can-I'm not obsessed with my image or $$$ its fun in spots for a few minutes but I dont let it control who I am, I had a friend who got pumped up to $40,000,000 playing craps, he let the $$$ and image control him, I will say the comps were amazing-I was just tagging along for a few months, he was out of control. I said then I wouldnt ever get like that.
you guys have fun trying to figure me out.....a word to the wise, i'm a simple guy. And yeah that ring game was fun and I will be there again, I can play a little, enough that I dont have to be embarassed to go out there infront of everyone and play, forget the $3,000, have you ever played infront of ALL your peers? Thats wanted to experience.

I have lots of friends that I think have loads of money. And I have lots of friends that think I'm the one with loads of money. It's all relative. But it's not the money that makes us friends.SEE YOU SOON FATBOY; YOU ARE OK IN MY BOOK.

I could care less if Fatboy had $10 to his name or $10Million. I don't judge people by their bank accounts, but by their character. Their character is defined by their actions - when no one is watching. I think Fatboy is a good guy - money or not. This thread calling him out is out of line and is not an accurate reflection of the AZ community. And, it's not fair to take one single tourney, out of context, and use that to define a person. I'm sure lots of folks acted a little out of the norm at DCC. It's not unheard of to do so when you're on a mini-vacation.
Fatboy, my apologies from all the negative press. I sincerely believe it does not reflect the majority of the AZ community.

Sorry I did not get to meet you at the DCC, I was pulling for you anyway. You are alright in my book.
Peace out, JBK

Maybe next year they can have a ring game for wealthy average players, hell maybe I will even risk 3k and take a shot at Fatboy and Art![]()

Do not let the negativity of this entire thread get you down Fatboy and keep posting here I enjoy what you have to say, I would like to see you get involved with the TAR boys if you are inclined to do so, I think you could do some good for the sport.
