That's a great cue. You can see 2 major influences in that work. I feel that art is derivative and that's the way it should be. I swear this is the first cue that has components inspired by Alton rather than the other way around. That's just super. What goes around comes around. The other guy's influence is so strong, the first few times anyone said "Bob" I thought they were wrong. I love cues and this is a stunner.
Congrats
Kevin
Kevin, where do you see Altons influence in this cue....just curious
For me, in the caps. When I see concave (or is it convex?) design caps I always think of Alton. Might just be me.
Kevin
I cannot believe the design in this cue...
Beautiful.
Lots of great work, fine balance of materials and symmetrical.
Bob really did a great job and the proportions are excellent.
Thanks for posting this gem... I love it.
So your saying the caps that bob made for this cue....as he does for most of his cues, is something that was inspired by Alton. I am the first to say that Alton is the most incredible cap maker in the world.
but Bob is probably on top when it comes to artistic one of a kind cues, deriving all the designs and incredible craftsmanship through his OWN artistic abilities.
HWow. Love the 3D inlay effect highlighted in the 5th pic.
