Congrats to Monica! Here is one who doesn't know the word "quit". She has been hard at work realizing that dream for quite a long time and never gave up. You've done us proud and we hope you have lots more success in the future - we know you will.

Kudos to Sarah as well..... another one to hang our future on.

To be honest, I am really glad to see the American (and Canadian) women bringing it on the table. Between all the strong European and Asian talent the American women haven't been in the spotlight as much.

Vivian is coming back strong. Sarah Rousey! A+ Monica, IT'S about TIME!

I think it's great to see the WPBA get shaken up this year and it seems as if it's a lot more competitive.

Maybe there are more titles slotted for the USA in the coming year.
 
Nice to see another clear case of talent, passion, persistence & hard work. Well done girl!
 
It's a wonderful moment and the fact that three of the top four finishers in the event were American makes it even better.

Monica worked hard for this day, and she deserves it so much!

Congratulations to Sarah Rousey on a great finish, and also to Kelly Fisher, surely the 2008 WPBA player of the year with two titles and two runnerup finishes.

... but the day belongs to Monica, and I hope she is enjoying the glow of the moment to the fullest.

Thank you soo much for all the kind words. I get teared up everytime I read all the recognition for the long road. It was truly the most amazing moment of my life and I still feel numb. I am floating everywhere I go and feel so proud and accomplished. I will continue to work hard and try to bring it again and again. Right now it feels like a ton of bricks has been lifted off my shoulders and I am so happy! A friend of pool is a friend of mine and I love all you guys that have the fire inside for our game. Thanks Melissa, It feels good to hear from other great players.

Sarah, Viv, JoAnn, Brittany, Helena - great job and it seems everyone notices that you guys are bringing too. You guys are playing great! Kelly, you are a total CHAMPION w/ your game and sportsmanship. The bar is raised for the WPBA and if you have not been to a tournament lately I suggest you check us out.

It's always nice to see people reach the top after working so hard at something...with determinatin, class and grace...and you did it at a great time...winning a major...the Tour Championship.

It's something to be really proud of...they can never take it away from you...you're a real champion.

I CAN ONLY HOPE YOU STILL CHEW CHEAP GUM AS I AM ON SSN AND $$$ ARE TIGHT. MAYBE NOW I WILL GE THAT DANCE I HAVE BEEN DREAMING ABOUT SINCE YOU DANCED IN FRONT OF MY POCKET AS YOU SHARKED ME IN THE PRO-AM.
