Make az strickly memberships @ $100 a yr.

Sounds like segregation to me.

This posts suggests that only true 'pool guys' have the money to participate...I cannot even follow this line of thought. In fact, many die-hard pool players are often broke-ass pool players. That $100 may be a night's capital for them.

As to the reduction of theft...again, I call bunk. The rules to buying here are really no different than from buying on eBay or CraigsList, or elsewhere. Caveat Emptor. As previously stated, the scammers will fork the $$$ over in order to get at a group that has already been culled for them.

What she said!!!!!!! this "real pool guys" talk is silly. only real pool guys can afford to cough up a hundo to post on the forum????? you know how crazy that sounds!!!!!? i see all the nice high end cues on here i think to myself somewhere out there there's some guy that looks homeless sleeping in the back seat of his car that can give whoever owns that 2K+ south west the 7. His name is T!!!!!lol

Thats right $100 a year..like a cover charge at a fine bar..

Only good clientele will be there..easier to manage and

its supports the forum..and would curve a lot of rants..

Whats your thoughts..sa

Are you trying to start up a competing website and drive most of the people to your site? There are a lot of sharecroppers like myself who aren't going pay $100 dollars to post on the internet.

Lisa said it well! Thankfully, it isn't gonna happen. The forums would only suffer.

I agree with you and I think the idea of charging $100 a year to post on a billiard forum is bad. You don't want to price out ideas from members who can't afford to spend $100 to participate and exchange ideas. I don't care how much you charge you will still have disagreements in threads, but that's part of having a forum in the first place.

Dumb idea. As others have pointed out, everyone will go to another website. :(

What strikes me funny is that the OP suggested this, but wasn't even a paying club member when he did so. :o

money and trust is involved..there are no dumb ideas..only dumb people..

I think it is a terrible idea because a lot of us would not be able to remain here that are good contributors and fans of pool. Don't make it a rich man's game.

Income has nothing to do with good post and pool knowledge.
Some of the best on AZ would have trouble coming up with an extra 100

Bad idea.

You want a mixed neighborhood: the wealthy, the poor, the eccentric, the handicapped, the normal, the couples, the singles, the gays, the heteros, the runners, the slugs, the teetotalers, the alcoholics, the techies, the red necks, the hotties and the not so hot.

Makes for a much better party :-)
