Mark Tadd at the Reno Open

I've been thinking about my comment regarding Tadd's first match, and came to this realization:

Mark, regardless of any other factors, put thousands of hours into the game at one point in his life, which means that he loved the game.. That's at least one thing we have in common.

All the other stuff doesn't really matter.

Here's congratluations to Mark for his run in the Reno Open so far, and good luck in his last few matches. Mark getting back into pool and playing strong can only be good for the game.

Doesn't that feel better now, Russ? Always nice to hear more positive than negative posts.

Nice flip-flop Russ. :D

I'm curious as to how it would go over if he raked the balls everytime he missed during a tv match.

I have one thing to say,

GO TADD!!!

Sorry Jay, I am rooting for Johnny. ;)

I am not sure I have ever seen Mark Tadd play. Is the guy getting ready to shoot in this picture Mark?

Yes, it is.

Wow, what a cool picture. Is that a young Johnny Archer with the baseball cap, standing next to Reid Pierce? That's Jimmy Mataya in the suit. The other player looks like it might be C.J. Wiley with long hair.

That is CJ talking to Johny and Reed pierce. In early 90 s CJ used to wear lot of colorful silk shirts and used to sport 'Mullet' hair style.

I'll take the shooter from there...pictured game anyway.

Any takers?

Rep for you, Russ. Nice to see a positive change in heart, you have my respect for this.

Just for info

For those who think Mark has not been playing at all, may I remind you he played last year and finished 30th. SVB finished 31. Slight improvement. How about 1 @ 2 this year.

And "Diamond Bill Cress" is right in there.

I had heard about him playing for a few years now, but didn't sound like he was hitting the balls anything like he used to. Seeing him doing so well here, makes people hopeful the old gunslinger Mark is back. It would be great to see him at the DCC woofin at all the champions like he used to. Many of the biggest names out there didn't want no part of Mark 15 years ago.

Not bad, you got 'em all right!

I've said it before and I'll say it whenever his name is mentioned...when Mark Tadd was playing, NO ONE on the planet had to beat him. Its nice to see hes making a strong run in Reno.

Mark was 17-24th last year. I know, I staked him then too.

He's a comin', but will NOT be doing any gambling, just for the tournaments. I like the format for him, Banks, One Pocket and 9-Ball. He can play these games....a little. :)
