Hey McNugget, explain to me how your brain works? Although I don't see how that is possible & not sure if you have ever matched up a game in your life. How can you back out of a game that YOU NEVER AGREED TO?????

I will take the wild rack, break ball & hand & play Corey the prince of pool some. I will even come to Ohio. $10,000 a set, 10 ahead. Rack your own. Now when Corey or you, McNugget, don't agree to the game am I allowed to SHOUT AT YOU THAT YOU ARE HOLDING THIS UP.

Now I sound as stupid & disrespectful as you.

Watchez, you are "da" man..........Are you sure you can win that game,HAHAH...... How's everything in St.Louis ? I need to get up there and see you guys sometime soon. We all knew this game with Dave and Corey was a JOKE. Dave and I have talked about this and all he ever knew was what other people tell him. He hasn't even tried to negotiate a game............see ya soon..Jamey

I might not be 'da' man but I sure as hell know that I am smarter than McNugget. Sorry, that ain't saying much.

Things are fine in St Louis. We still have the guy here that likes to play races to 5 for $5000 just to get the gamble on. Jamey, I think Alton & Just One More in St Charles are going to have Midwest 9 Ball events in July. You should come up.

I have said it before, I have known Matlock for probably 18 years & have never seen him 'woof' at another player. Ever. One time, after a big tournament in Olathe, I was there with Joe Woolford & Joe had just won the tournament. Over hundred players, lots of champions. David walks up besides me & Joe & in the calmest voice, almost a whisper and not really directly looking at him, asks Joe if he wants the 7 ball for $5000. Joe says, no thanks and David simply walks away. No talk of-how can't you play after you just won this tournament, how can you turn down the 7 ball, no disrespect, nothing. Imagine McNugget in that situation.

I wouldn't call David a friend but he is an aquaintance. You have to pull info out of him if you want to even attempt to hear him act in the slightest bit cocky. Two years ago @DCC, I cornered him for about 30 minutes. The topic always comes up on who could beat Matlock on a bar table so I ask him. He admits he doesn't gamble much any more but just then a known champion walks by-David tells me he gave him this guy the 7 ball for $10,000 a few months back & his backers don't want anymore. I'll let you all squirm in finding out who he bar b qued.

They say that you can tell more about a man's character from playing 18 holes of golf with him than you can working with him every day for 10 years. I knew him briefly when he was living in Denver and I played golf with David once, we shared a cart. He was the most down-to-earth, genuine, friendly, honest person I've have the pleasure of playing golf with. Once he hit a ball OOB, I told him he could just drop one. (he hadn't played much golf) He said "what's the rule?" I said "two strokes." He said, "Then that's what it is." and he took his two and made sure they were on the card at the end of the hole. He was very focused and always asking the 'right' way to play shots. Shot a very competitive round (<90 IIRC) even though I think it was only his third or fourth time ever playing.

He told me that Earl plays good golf and he was playing because he wanted to learn the game to be able to play more competitively with Earl. I said "Earl Strickland?" and he said "He's a guy I compete with out on the pro tour."
...
Priceless.

I'd go to the pool hall when he was practicing and he'd tell me what he was doing, what he was thinking and shared his systems with me. There are guys that would pay thousands of dollars for that. And still others that wouldn't sell it for hundreds of thousands. He shared it with me because he wanted to help me get better.

The guy is aces in my book. Any internet woofing or attempts to impune his character are out of line in my book. Believe me, if he said Cory needs to call him for this to happen, THEN THAT IS WHAT HAS TO HAPPEN. All this other stuff isn't worth the paper it's written on.

Cheers,
RC

I agree. All of this woofing is funny for the first HOUR. After that, I'd rather go the poolroom and hear two D players *****ing about the last two for twenty a set. It's basically the same thing, except for one thing...... the D players will end up playing.

W,
Very nice post. How long to we need to squirm? Who was the player in question (though from what I've heard about Dave M., I wouldn't be surprised no matter whose name comes up)?
