Mike Bender Cues
Mike Bender cues play very well. They are very efficient and the feel is solid. One the down side they are very expensive for what you get but they are worth it. The attention to detail is outstanding.
You can't go wrong the a Mike Bender cue.

My friend $takehor$e has one on AZ for sale that is AMAZING!!! It is 99%+ and he is wanting something like $1550 or something. He showed it to some dealers and they said it was $2K+ cue!
I really like the cue, obviously and would like to see one of AZ brothers get it.
In response to your original request, I had an Omega/dpk cue and it was a great looking, great balance, but the shaft taper was different for me. I am not sure if the Bender cues have the same taper as the Omega/dpk cues but there is a difference than other cues.

Ask $takehor$e to sent you pics asap. He is selling it to cheap, and I told him so but he is like my daughters and hears me but sometimes doesnt listen....

Benders are nice you will like it.:thumbup:
My very good friend has 2 Mike Bender cues. The most recent of the 2 cues arrived this past December after only a 7 month wait. Bender cues are nothing less than...PERFECT! The balance is dead on. The hit....is like no other. It feels as if it is a one piece cue!!! The points, veneers, box work is just impecable. He even used a calf skin wrap for my friend's cue that is just outstanding. You are considering the best of possible cue makers to get the perfect all around 'stick'. Good Luck!!

His cues are not cheap but that is one of the reasons I went with him.
Compare the prices of his used cues to other makers and you'll see his cues hold their value better than some other cuemakers asking nearly the same price.

Benders are great cues. They are about the same in price as any other cue with a reputation. He does recuts on his points and favors points in multiples of 5 instead of 4. His cues may be advertised as 15 points where other cues would be 5 points with 2 veneers. Most of his cues are wood to wood joint and have the railroad rings. His linen wrap is very smooth. Some will say that they favor them over a SW

Benders are great cues. Mike is one of three David Paul Kersenbrock's (DPK) proteges, the other two being Jerry Franklin (Southwest cues) and Ed Young. All masters. I play with a Bender sneaky pete (he made only 12) and the spine of the shaft lines up perfectly with the spine of the butt for an extremely solid hit with lots of feel. I was also fortunate enough to have a shaft made by Kersenbrock for the pete that I sometimes use when I'm feelin' it! If you are ordering a new Bender, be aware that the resale market for cues is very soft right now and some really strong deals can be had on used ones. Enjoy!

Mike Bender was not a DPK protogé. Not even close.
