Monster mike sigel trade

Well I can tell you this I'm not gonna give this cue away considering what it's worth this is the exact reason why I didn't want to post picks except to people that was interested. However I didn't post pics for you to come on here and degrade a cue that you obviously know nothing about. I have a bb already and cognoscenti and a couple of others. I know what cues are worth so if you don't have the funds or cues to trade with someone you might want to leave your stupid comments to your self!

No one is asking you to give the cue away. I'm not even saying that mike didn't put 3k's worth of work in that cue, or that the cue is in anyway inferior so unworthy of that price.....

With all those big cues you obviously already knew how the market was on those Sigels and when someone giggles at your offering you get upset?

in a nut shell they are not very popular, so very few people know how they actually play....but to make it worse everyone has heard and basically agrees that arguably along with say a gus or barry that Tony's Black Boars are the best playing cues in the known universe.....

They are also highly collectable......and sought after....like SW or better

Mikes cues are not very sought after.........its over pure collecting and market value reasons not how your cue plays.....if mike is making those then i seriously doubt that the cue plays anything but great....but just playing great and looking great don't translate to resale value....

look at PFD Studios....you couldn't trade a 3k$ PFD for a BB.....b/c the PFD is sitting still at almost half off.....

But you never hear me cry that you can't get a dam thing for them right now, so i keep mine....like i give a sh*t....it just chills out in its cozy whitten case untill one day it wont see its shadow when it comes to survey the scene

soft enough for every one....

I will definately eat my crow like a man if it goes down......maybe a pie in the face or something on a live stream?

On a side note, it's amazing how just about every thread that references the bluebook gets the slam nowadays on az. It's like bluebook is the codeword for wishful thinking.

Bad form to talk smack on something that you have no interest in buying. I could see if you guys wanted the cue and wanted a better price, that would make sense but he's not trying to steal. BB's can be semi affordable to sky high plus he didn't really say what style or value range of BB he is okay with. Someone with an old beat up BB that needs work or has no original shafts might be stealing from him.

Good luck with the sale.

Well put, Mikey. Assuming that the OP isn't looking for anything more than a plain BB, then he might be in the ballpark.

To the OP....

I apologize....you know i usually am not like that on here, i usually only do something like that when they was asking for it.....I don't know why maybe I'm just a little cranky for lack of sleep or something....i had no reason to be a d*k but to be a d*k. I am usually much more cordial funny and helpful.

sorry for acting the ass,

oh. from the title I thought you were looking to trade Mike Sigel. nevermind :frown:

WOW thats the best cue I have seen from Mike.

I'm gonna agree with Eric on this point, it seems to be one of, if not (the best) looking Sigel cue I've seen.
Wishing you the best of luck in your sale/trade.

I own a Sigel cue like this myself and it looks and plays great. I stay of the dangerous path of stating how much it might be worth. But I can say that I am keeping mine in the collection for sure, because I really do like it :)

Best of luck with the sale, the next owner will not be disappointed I think...

Unfortunately n today's cue market...that's exactly what it is

I have owned many of Mike's custom cues. The one you have here is one of my favorites of his..classy...not too over the top. There is no doubt that, when this cue was built by Mike, probably in the mid-late 90s, it would have been a $3-4k cue. Yes, the market is soft, but it will come back, eventually. This cue would be a great cue to have on the back burner...an extremely nice cue at a real fair price. Yes, I could see someone coming off a simple BB for this cue.

In addition, the cues of this period that were built by Mike play real well. Folks seem to forget that Mike was with Joss cues back in the days when they were super-built cues. He does know how to build a nice cue.

I will see Mike early next week. I will show him this cue and see what he has to say about it.

I have a very similar Sigel cue that has turquoise instead of the shell inlays. Plus I have two other Sigels.

I too would be eager to hear Mike's thoughts on the quality and value of his cues.

I will be very up front about it. Mike's thoughts on the quality and value of his cues are very high. If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting Mike, you will understand that. He is not a modest person.

Of course, I think any cuemaker would have a high regard for their cues...not to mention one who also happened to be a 5 time World Champion, 3 time US Open Champ, and winner of over 100 MAJOR pool tournaments, and the youngest person ever inducted into the BCA Hall of Fame.

These cues from the era when he was personally building his custom cues are very nice cues, and they are a fantastic bargain, as cues go. I think someone compared the value with PFD cues....another FANTASTIC cue where one can get MUCH more cue value for his money.

That might be the single biggest understatement of the year, Joe :D! I think Renee should be mentioned for sainthood...

Mike's cues do play well. I had one with tons of long and short ivory points in both directions. It is a lot of cue for the money.

Good luck with your search kybanks!

Steve
