You rarely see an older player getting better in any sport as they get up in age, but Rodney Morris IMO is getting better. Congrats on the Capone's win this past weekend Rodney. Johnnyt

He plowed through the field like a knife through butter. Really rolled over Corey. I really wanted Rodney for Mosconi instead of Skyler because The Rocket has been on fire this year.

Rodney has a style all his own. He is enjoying himself so much that he is never playing tight. The way Rodney moves the cue ball is way more complicated then most of us would ever dream of but it works soooo well, its almost poetic.

He's a moron with coconuts for brains, played too much football as a kid ha ha!! Wednesday is his birthday so if you have the chance buy him a soda or give him a hug!! And you're right it's very odd that someone gets better as the years go by, maybe he's making up for lost time? Either way it's great for him, he's a great guy and great ambassador for the game!!

Was fortunate to watch it in person and had a great long weekend of relaxation and watching some of the best pool I have ever seen. Started with a fun night at Cue-Phoria in Winter Park ,Florida. Great pool room it was a great night. A race to 30 ten ball Friday between Rodney and Johnny . They took a break at 15 , Johnny up 15 -14 couple of 4 packs . Started back at 8pm Johnny up I think 22 21 I think Johnny shot three more times and it was over. Rodney truly put on an exhibition in his old home turf Pool room . What a great Pool Room , great staff , great food and great place. A must place to visit

I third that!!!!!!

I 4th that
I have said before that Rodney is more good than bad for the team , he is biggest cheerleader , fires them up . He was good for Shane when he won WCOP few years with Shane. He brushes off errors Shane make and cheers him up when he so down.
Sure he complains and whines but not when he is playing for the team .
Now maybe he will then be the de facto leader and too influential which may not be so easy for MW to manage if MW has his own game plan/ strategy in mind

I have to agree!

I know he can be hard to deal with sometimes, but when he takes its seriously, he is VERY hard to beat.

Good Point!

He is other than Shane the only real threat to anybody from overseas. We have lots of young players coming up, Josh Roberts is new to many, but he shows Great promise...,

But Rodney is there right now and if he stays focused on Pool, we might see a great run in 2016!

You really don't think that Justin Bergman is a "threat" to anybody from overseas? Have you seen his record this year against anybody and everybody?

I like watching Morris's relaxed style of play. He looks like he's just practicing. Same with Jayson Shaw.

Fun to watch.

Rodney is fun to watch when he is at the table and full of talent. He definitely understands what the rails are there for. He gives me hope you don't have to be a skinny guy to shoot well!

I forget who said it (maybe Strickland), that if players today had to play on the old nappy cloth, Morris would be unbeatable.
