Most powerful stroke ever?

The definition of the most "PERFECT" stroke which in turn gives the most action is, "THE LEAST AMOUNT OF EFFORT WITH THE MAXIMUM EFFECT ON THE CUE BALL". This is what a TRUE PURE stroke is!

There are many players who hit the cue ball extremely hard to create action on the cue ball, but VERY few of US who do it with a PURE PERFECT STROKE, players that come to mind are Roberto Rojas, from Mexico, Adrian Viguara, Chicago, and I have to say, myself, Bill Smith.

About 25 years ago a former Chicago Policeman John Holic, and pool fan opened a billiard room on the Northwest side of Chicago, not too far from Chris's. For the Grand Opening he invited Mike Massey to do an exhibition on the pool tables and myself to do a demonstration of Artistic Billiards on the billiard table. Naturaly Mike's show was GREAT, everyone loved the show. When it came time for me to do my thing on the billiard table alot of the spectators didn't seem to impresssed, except for the billiard players. At one point in my show Mike came forward and said, " I want everyone here to know how difficult these shots are and what ease this man executes these shots, I've never seen anyone strike the cue ball so easily and produce so much action on the cue ball, its amazing".

I never forgot those words. When Larry Nevel hung around Chris's Billiards years ago, he used to watch me practice Artistic billiards and remark in the same way Mike did. I've become quite a bit older now and my stroke isn't quite as pure, but I can still dab it a little! And I'm not really trying to blow my own horn here, its just a fact.

You can goto VEOH.com and type in Bill Smith, and you can see some videos from some exhibitions I've performed back in the day.

I will have to agree with one of the poster's in this thread that IMHO that a 3 Cushion player generally has a better stroke for EXTREME cue ball action than most pool players. "Not trying to offend the pool community", it's just that billiard players due these types of strokes on a regular basis.

Bill Smith "Mr3Cushion"

Did you intentionally misread the title of my topic to come in here and brag about your "pure perfect" stroke or whatever you call it? I am asking who has the most powerful stroke.

And yes I think 3-cushion players probably have the most powerful strokes in the world. I also think that people who love to brag about themselves are annoying.

power strokers

Cuetechasurus,Semih Saginer loves to shoot pool also and as far as power strokers he does a draw shot I can't BELIEVE is possible. The shot is on Youtube and I've seen many a great player try it and he is the only I've seen do it. When I was younger I thought I could draw a ball as good as anyone untill I saw MR.SAYGINER HE is the greatest in my OPINION of all time.FASTEDDIEF. signing off

Chris,
When I read your post, I went back into mine and corrected the "too" and made it a "took".

Grady knows his way around a rack. He's talked often about is it legal to "adjust" the rack a little if your oppanant is making balls on the break every time.

He's not known as "The Professor" for nuclear physics, but he does know his way around a pool room.

Hope you're well Chris!

terry im good.
the q is how are you doing?

I talked to Jon for a pretty good while earlier this year. He told me he lost a lot of time due to allowing things into his life that should not have been there. He is very aware of the issues he has dealt with and seemed to genuinely be making the effort to stay on the right path, I wish him luck.

Super nice kid, and I never saw anyone more dedicated to the game. That is why it was so mystifying when he fell off the deep end.

Miz, Massey, Searcy, Busta, Wade Crane....

i never got to see Harold Worst and would have loved to see him play. I have never heard anyone mention any weakness to his game or games.

I like your picks here. Searcy was one of my favorites. I just loved watchin the guy play and he could do things which defied logic. I thought he would someday knock the pocket off a snooker table.
i watched Wade play Buddy in Shreveport years ago and they were total contrast i n styles, but Wade was fun to watch.

Massey? Those who never got to see him 20 years ago, well you missed one hell of a show. He could put English on both sides of the cue ball! LOL

Buddy had a great stroke and was just so very consistent in everything he did. But when in a jam he could really jazz it up too. It was not a weakness at all.
