I agree about Bob Frey to be sure - seems he makes a cue that's the same caliber as Scruggs but gets much less love.
I'd also include Leon Sly - really affordable, really great playing cues, and Leon's a great guy.
I'd also say as far as value goes, Jim Pierce makes a really great hitting cue for the money.
Jerry R doesn't seem like he ever really got the acclaim he deserves as a maker either.
You just about get murdered on resale with all of these guys but they all make a fantastic cue. Pierce is the one I can understand due to some people having issues with his service. But as for all the others, it might just be to do with them being low-key people and not self-promoters as our friend The Colonel put it.
