Mueller's Sporting Goods

This is why I am a firm believer in paying for all items with a quality credit card like American Express. When I have an issue I take it up with the card company and I've never not won an arguement over a chargeback.

I use Ozone, and love em. I really like their rewards system, and everything I order is on my front porch pretty quick. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Muellers

Likewise, I've ordered items from them for years and never had a problem. I've also had a couple cues restored by them (Ryan) and could not be any happier with the price and quality of work. Wouldn't hesitate to do business with them again.

Hope it works out. Doesn't sound like the Meullers I've dealt with.

Ive been buying stuff from them for a while, and they have always been helpful. The only complaint I have about them is that if I only need a small item, the shipping is sometimes twice as much as the item. So, I just wait until I need a bunch of stuff and get it all at once.

Hmm this thread turned out to be a great advertisement for meuller IMO. The ol' backfire.

Muellers cue repair department

They've been great to me.... their repair person enjoys soft hands, too!

Amen to that. Ryan Theewen ("ratcues" here on AZB) in their cue repair department does absolutely INCREDIBLE work. I recently had him rebuild and recondition a Meucci model 97-11 (a cue that has more sentimental value than actual value), and I was stupefied at the result. The cue was banged-up and badly warped in the handle area (yes, the butt itself was warped). Needless to say, after Ryan did his magic and sent it back to me, the cue *now* looks and plays like brand-new. I will be taking some pictures of it and creating a separate thread on it in a few days, because I want people to know just what can be done with an old warped cue. And the customer service could not be better -- he stayed in touch with me the whole time, giving me progress updates, etc.

I've done business with Muellers over the past decade, and they've been fantastic every time. To be honest, I've also done business with the other top billiard supply companies (e.g. Seyberts, Ozone, Atlas, Border, et al.) and they've also had great service. It just goes to show that when you get to *this* size of company, you're doing business with a company that's been in business for a long time, and have built a reputation. Otherwise they wouldn't be in business, or wouldn't be that size. I would say don't let a one-off bad transaction spoil the soup.

They can't be all bad, they sell Pool Wars!

Not only is it free advertising for Mueller's, but Jay got in the act himself, and seized the moment to plug his book.
A rare moment of shameless self promotion for Jay Helfert.

Jay, do you have Meuller's 1-800 number and the product ordering code for Pool Wars handy?

It was obviously a mistake.

Maybe if you had treated them like :) instead of like like  everything would be  and you wouldn't be :(

Chris ;)

Try it next time.

LMAO...

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to TATE again.
I tried.

Might as well add another +1 for Muellers and Ryan. I have been using them for years and have never had an issue. They have always seemed to go out of their way to make things easier on me.

Mueller's has been the easiest and friendliest company I have ever dealt with. A few years ago I had some large bulk orders (100-150 house cues) and though there was a small hiccup or two with the shipments, their awesome customer service department took care of the problem for me so that I didn't have to spend any time or energy worrying about it. They do a great job - and they are tops in my book - and I would recommend them to everybody without hesitation.

I'm another super satisfied Meullers customer.. I've used them for well over a decade with absolutely no complaints.. This is the first negative encounter I've heard of.. Of course, it's nice to hear both sides of the story.. How was Meullers approached by the OP??

"When I sent it back they said they don't want to do any business with me any more "

this statement in particular makes me think you were acting like a total horses ass to the people at Muellers.

Echo

To echo all the other posters here, I've done business with them over the years. Good prices and quick delivery and I was notified when something was out of stock and asked if I wanted to wait or change items. They even sent stuff to me in Germany.

The fact they don't want to do business with you anymore tells me one thing. In the eyes of the business owner or manager....you're a customer not worth the trouble you bring.
