Mueller's Sporting Goods

These people try to rip you off and then say it's your fault . When you prepay for goods , you should get what you pay for . NOT with Mueller's ... They tried to sell me a used cue case , it had chalk in the shaft tubes and in the pouch . When I sent it back they said they don't want to do any business with me any more . I've had other discrepancies with them in the past but have always blown it off . Like taking my money and later informing me that it is on back order or no notification at all .The owner has a lousy attitude for doing business ... I will not recommend this company to anyone again . I would not want anyone else to be screwed !!!!!:angry::angry:

By comparison, I've never had any issues with Mueller's.

And I've ordered from them a lot as I was the president of a league that rec'd a 15% discount on all of our league's purchases. They always treated me right.

Hmmm

No problems with them either.... but even the best can make a mistake once in awhile !

Sorry to hear you had an issue Eric.
I have been dealing with them for nearly 20 years and never had a problem.

I've sent my cue and a friends cue there for some serious work and it can back fast and perfect. I also buy almost everything from Muellers and I haven't had one problem with them. I'm sorry you had a problem but, I highly recommend them. Hopefully this problem will be solved. Ron

"He was buying a NEW case and they tried to pass off a used case for new"

There was no mention of that in the OP. He only talks about them selling him a used case.

Ryan posts in the Cue Maker forum. He has a reputation for doing 100% class A work, repairs and restorations as well as building his own line of cues when he has time. On top of that he has a great amount of integrity when it comes to customer service.

I hope nobody here links Ryan's rep to that of a problem with his employer.

It is implied by his rant/attitude and context of his words.

Are they refusing to give you a refund now that you've returned the case? Or did they issue the refund while expressing a desire not to do business with you going forward?

I'm wondering who you were speaking with that had the authority to request that you no longer do business with them. I hope it wasn't just some employee that had no right to speak on behalf of the company.

It can have a detrimental effect as in, how many people are reading this thread now.

I was going to do the same favor for Sterling cases. Just waiting for the right time.
Spend a little money twice or spend a lot once. Most likely a Jack Justis or another GTF the next time.
Lifetime warranty on a Justis, lip service from Sterling.

Only hearing one side of the story. They dont carry "used" cases in inventory. Who knows what really happened, could have been on the salesfloor and a walk in customer tried it out with their personal cue, Mueller ships it not knowing there was chalk stains were in the case. Who knows. As far as them saying they didnt want his business, who knows how he spoke to them on the phone.
Again, only one side of the story from an aggravated customer trying to smear their business.

This doesn't sound like the Muellers that I have done business with for over 25 years. I have never had a deal go bad. They have great prices and ship fast too. In 1990 I bought a McDermott cue from them and returned it because it did not have enough Birds eyes in the forearm for me.....the took it back and sent me another that was loaded with them.

Another time I ordered a cut of Forstman cloth and when I started the recovering of the slate I noticed a flaw in the cloth. They sent me me a new piece of cloth over night and let me return the first piece at my convenience.

mueller

I want to say, first you pay way to much for thing from them. as a room owner i can get you a lot better price on most pool items and cues. if you guys will talk to the distributer or room owner .save time and money!!!! STICK:thumbup:

I would add to the list of people that have dealt with Mueller's with no problems. I have always found them very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The words "they don't want to do business with me anymore" immediately makes me think that when the OP called them up to report the problem, he was probably less than friendly, if not rude. Because these days, most companies are VERY happy to fix any mistake they make. Unless of course the person asking for the fix is irate, yelling, etc. Then it just might not be worth it to them.

Any idea on this OP?

Mueller's has always done what they said they would for me.
They either ship exactly what I've ordered or tell me it's out of stock....
...and when they expect to have it.
They also respond to emails
