Poor installation and attitude = an instant call to Greg Sullivan directly and on speaker phone while they are there. Put everyone on the spot and chances are things would have worked out...maybe.
By the guy's attitude it was clear they weren't going to make any effort to do it right. You can insist all you want, they're not going to do a 180-degree attitude adjustment. Complaining to them would probably result in an even-worse job. I'd want them out of my house as soon as possible and then call Diamond to make it right.
They would have put right back on the truck. Chances are they were a cheap contractor Diamond hired. NOBODY comes into my home and talks to me that way! You might not have gotten your table right away but there are other options. Screw them!

I might be willing to take that bet. From what I understand perfect for you is an almost impossible task.
At least according to one installer who knows you well.
That guy happens also to be a better player than you. In my opinion of course.
I might give up odds that the installers leave your house before you are satisfied.
Just teasing you Lou don't get crazy. You are known for being a stickler about tables.
Just want to add they can put the table to the half inch where it should go. At the DCC when they were swapping out the 9' and 10' TV table several times, they had to have the table *exactly* centered under the overhead camera. They were nudging the table a hair at a time until Pat's crew was satisfied that it was centered on the camera monitor.
Yeah, Lou did say that, but in response to someone else. I thought he was being facetious in his post.
ok, it's been 8 weeks and they are supposed to deliver my diamond professional
this weekend . i can't believe i am reading this now . i have read nothing but great
things about this company and its tables . honestly , i wouldn't know a good setup
or poor setup if they bit me in the but . i am all about trust . i did a lot of research
before spending 5 grand , now i am a little concerned . what can i do to insure a
top notch install ? how long should this setup take if done right? should i introduce
them to Babe, my 190lb English mastiff (she is intimidating to look at but the sweetest ,
gentlest dog i ever seen ) or sit back and hope for the best ?
Here on AZ I read a story about a new Diamond table that come with scratches, so be aware.
I thought you couldn't scratch those plywood Diamond tables.
I thought you couldn't scratch those plywood Diamond tables.
Somebody does not have a clue! Diamond Tables are hardly plywood. Mine is built like a tank.
