It appears to be foot-powered based on the treadle in the last picture. ;)

Looks like a good tip/ferrule lathe.

You all are just jealous. Not everyone can afford a cue lathe. At least he dosen't need a crane to put his tailstock on, or to change chucks like I do.

Adonisy I like your HO!!!!!!

I think it needs moved a few inches to the right!

ok frist it has a removable saddle (the ways below the chuck) you need to atach a indacater to your carrege and make sure you adj. it so it is even with the rest of your way. I could not go on the web site but does it have taperd roller barings in the head .

But it does look like a good lathe

That is a very nice looking machine. Is that a foot brake on the bottom. If so that is a nice safety feature.

I think the treadle on the bottom is a safety switch in case you get caught in the lathe and thrown across the room. When the ambulance gets there, the lathe will be quiet so the EMT's can hear you moaning... Wonder what shipping is to NC?

Anyone else notice that the feed and half-nut levers, and the threading dial are on the left side of the carriage? Also, the handwheel for the carriage is on the right side. The exact oppsite of any lathe I've ever walked up to.

Other than that, the gear change levers on the headstock look exactly like a Sharp 1340. Those machines are QUITE nice, but I feel just a hair big for cue work,as it looks like the spindle may be to long for a rear chuck to work.

Of course, with as big of a steady rest as he got with it,he could adapt that with a couple bearing and collets,or mount a 3 jaw chuck in it. Tommy D.
