I finally finished my new playing cue. I gave it the works. Some nice birdseye for the forearm. Ring in all positions, Sleeved Ivory joint, Ivory buttcap, Elephant ear wrap, and some JPs. Her butt weights in at a slim 15.1 oz and her shafts weigh in a 4 oz for a total of 19.1 oz. Sorry about the pics I dont have a pool table any more I have a work bench for all my veneer stuff so untill I get to the bar tonight these pics will have to do.

Thanks and I hope you like the cue

Cool cue

Great looking cue. Like the symetry of the ringwork in all positions. In addition I like the forearm wood carried into the butt sleeve. Nice job.

The Bears

Really nice looking cue Dustin. I like the softness of the colored veneers with the maple. Really nice balance. I can't quite tell but are those paper veneers in there? The elephant ear wrap looks perfect too. Very nice!

Yup those are paper veneers in there. I was trying to make the veneers softer nice pick up. The wrap was only the second leather wrap ive done and the first with Hightowers fixture. Its not perfect but it looks pretty darn good.

Thanks for all the kind words guys
Dustin

WOW!!!!!!!! Cue is absolutly Beautiful. everything about it is perfect. J/ps are very very nice, also. If I wasn't so broke , like most people, I'd love one just like this. Jim

THAT IS AN ABSOLUTE GREAT CUE..... NOT OVER THE TOP, BUT JUST RIGHT.

EVERYTHING FLOWS VERY WELL. ENJOY IT, MOST CUEMAKERS DON'T EVEN GET OUT TO PLAY MUCH, LET ALONE MAKE THEMSELVES NICE CUES.

I have to say although there're tons of new cuemakers out there, this one is incrediblly impressive!! you really have good taste selecting crazy birdseye maple....and it seems that every inch of the cue is well taken care of, great work!!

WOW!!

nice looking cue. Love the colors.

Love how the paper veneers mak things pop.

How long is the butt from bottom of wrap to the end of the cue? Looks like 6"+

Thanks for all the complements everyone.

The buttsleeve is 5 and 1/4 inches. I made the wrap shorter by half an inch for the ring work. I just wanted to see as much forearm and buttsleeve I could have and not have the wrap look to small. I think the smaller buttcap makes a difference as well.

Very nice and tasteful color choices! The cue, although sports traditional parts (i.e. 4 points, rings) it still looks very new and modern - kind of new school to me :)
Very nice cue!

Yeah, it reminds me of the "long" butt look of Omegas.

I grab further back on the cue, so much that recent ones I've had built, I only go with 3-3.5" from bottom of wrap to end of cue.

Beautiful Cue.

Thank you for sharing your work. Incredible looking cue. poolrod.
