My Tascarella - like no other!!!

HE STATED IN THE DESCRIPTION THAT IT'S AN OLD SZAMBOTI BACKEND. WHO CARES? IT'S A NICE CUE, WITH A CLASSIC LOOK.

THE CUE DESIGN THEFT BS, IS REALLY GETTING OLD. WE ALL KNOW THAT CUES GET COPIED, AND THAT "TRIBUTES" ARE BUILT.

PETE, JOHN, BARRY, AND MANY OTHER KICK-ASS CUEMAKERS BUILD TRADITIONAL DESIGNS THAT HAVE BEEN DONE BEFORE. IVE NEVER HEARD ANY OF THEM CLAIM THAT ALL OF THEIR DESIGNS ARE ORIGINAL.

I'D RATHER HAVE A NICELY EXECUTED OLD SCHOOL CUE, THAN AN ORIGINAL CNC CUE. I ALSO DON'T THINK I'M THE ONLY ONE THAT FEELS THAT WAY.

Marcus

Marcus, I'd expect you of most people to see what I'm referring to, and it's not the design... it's the execution.

It's clearly in the first picture, and I highly doubt it's a paper veneer.

Again, I ask - is it acceptable because it's a Tascarella?

I saw it as well but didn't want to rain on his parade. However, if it were my cue I would have been pissed.

I didn't really examine the pics all that much. But I can say that when I saw it... I immediately thought "I guess the Tascarellas are starting to use paper veneers." lol.

I didn't follow the black line all the way up the point. Just took a quick glance.

NOW I SEE IT. I HADN'T NOTICED IT BEFORE. I'M NOT SURE IF IT'S BLACKY EPOXY ON THE VENEERS, OR A PAPER. IF IT WERE MINE, I WOULD TALK TO PETE ABOUT IT, AND GET MORE INFORMATION.

Way to go with your first post.
Show us a great looking cue by a great C.M.
Looks like you made your presence known quickly.
Congratulations on a fine looking cue.

Thats exactly what I thought, paper veneers. The cue's colors are outstanding and like Craig said, one of the best I have seen.

JV (---ps: I just wanted you to know that I saw this pattern on a Tim Scruggs from 1775, made for General Washington... :)

God, I shouldn't have looked at this thread! Wow, what a cue! That butt design is my favorite. Does Pete take Mastercard? LOL

Maybe THAT'S what the black line is between those veneers! A swiper for credit cards.

Does anyone think the issue here could be from the camera? Maybe I'm not seeing the same thing.

Personally, I've seen and hit with this cue. It's gorgeous in person and hits just as nice.

Congrats SMUG, I know how much you love the cue :)

I've seen this cue in person also and its amazing. I didn't pull out the eye loop but wtfc???

Eric-You need to update your signature now that you have your Prather. Congrats again on a sick pick up sir!

Like I said in my other post, I love this cue and I could care less what anyone thinks. It has the most beautiful veneer pattern I have ever seen in any Tascarella, and I have looked at the photo's many times and I am uncertain if there is a problem or if the camera is playing tricks on some peoples eye's.

But for me it doesn't matter I still think this is a beautiful cue and if there is something there that I don't see I still feel the same way, and I hope the cues owner doesn't take anyones opinion personally. Everyone has an opinion and perfection is in the eye of the beholder, nothing more and nothing less.

To the threads OP thanks very much for sharing such a beautiful cue!!

Oh and by the way, I am not a Tascarella fan as many will attest, but with that said beautiful is still beautiful.

Even if it was an accident, or the glue they use or whatever, that's the best accident that could have happened. Those two colors would run together and look like a bad choice of a combination. That line is kind of helping the cue maintain balance. I know a lot of guys that would like to have this kind of accident all day long.

How many cuemakers can say they screw up better than a handful of cuemakers do things on purpose? :)
