That's terrible to hear. Hopefully your friend is able to get it back. The one good thing about the chance of recovery is the rarity of this cue.

I was at Westgate Lanes last night...about what time does he think it was taken? I came in around 8pm and left around 10:30pm...I'll keep an eye for it on the local scene. PM me with contact info of the owner if by some random chance I see it.

stolen cue

Make sure you post up REWARD flyers at the pool hall. The thieves know, or will know soon, that it's going to be hard to get rid of such a beautiful and unique cue. Offer the reward with 'No Questions Asked'. Give them an opportunity to get rid of it and you may just get it back.

Good luck! I'm sure we'll all keep an eye out.

why would ANYONE keep a cue of this quality and value in thier car??? If it wasn't in my hand, in a case strapped to my leg or curled up next to me in a spoon enbrace while I slept...
So sorry to hear of your friends loss

What sucks is whoever stole it probably has NO IDEA what they have. It will more than likely end up in a pawn shop. Make sure he files a police report with attached pictures and add the cue to the stolen cues thread. A cue like this will end up in a players hands and someone will spot it. Good luck recovering it.

That's exactly what I was thinking, especially with the extreme heat and humidity we've had up here in the Northeast lately.

Maybe the 'thief' was actually a good samaritan who was just rescuing the cue.

Sorry to hear that happened, any chance any of the places there have security tapes you or the police could get

THAT IS HORRIBLE..... I WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK IN FINDING IT.

MAKE SURE HE FILES A POLICE REPORT. IF THE CUE IS "FOUND" AT A PAWN SHOP, YOU NEED A POLICE REPORT AND PROOF OF OWNERSHIP TO BE ABLE TO GET IT BACK.

File the police report ASAP, if he has not already done so.

The "best" thing that a cue thief could do with a cue like this one is to make certain that it shows back up. This cue is sort of like DNA...there is no way that a person is going to be able to say they did not steal it. This very high-end, unique SW is the kind of cue that leads to long prison terms.

I hope that your friend gets the cue back, and I hope they catch the SOB who took it.

Best of luck,
Joe

Sad to hear about this loss. Will keep an eye out.

Isn't there a pawn shop right next to Westgate? Been a few years but when I worked for H&R Block I remember seeing one there.

that cue would be with me at all times, even going to the bathroom to take a piss!!! I would never leave it unattended!

IMO, I think it is someone who is into pool and a player who knows the value of the cue, knew he had it in there and waited for opportunity to take it. If the cue was out of site in the car that is a definite in my opinion, if it was in plain site like on the seat then that is another story. Good luck and hope you find it, looks like one of a kind.

I would check the local pawn shops. Usually stolen stuff ends up there. If they not pool players then they have no idea what they got.

I usually go to that tournament on Tuesday's and I know Mark. I will definitely keep an eye out for that cue. Not hard to spot if the person who stole it is stupid enough to carry it around.

Sadly this happens all too often. We have been successful at least once of finding in a pawn shop.

Contrary to the comments, trust me, it wont be hard at all to find a buyer for that cue.

More than likely, it is long gone, never to be seen again.

I wish you the best of rolls,

Ken
