End of story as far as I'm concerned
To all that it might concern:
The seller asks for payment by gift.
That is fraudulent IMHO.
Enough said.
Have a great day.

End of story as far as I'm concerned
Didn’t think I had to explain my whole selling history in this thread and be so specific about it.
The few items I sold in here that I wasn’t satisfied with the condition, the buyer didn’t ask for a refund.
Some others that I didn’t think there was anything wrong the customer happened to not be happy with. This goes to show how subjective the condition of a cue is when we are talking used cues.
Anyhow, the only times I had problems about certain transactions with members in this forum, were quite a few years back when I first started buying and selling. I have been a member for many years now.
The reason I call "Tampapool" or "Tampapool something” is not because I do not care, it’s just that I don’t know his name and I’m not sure I remember his screen name neither. I did try to reach out to him, but to no avail.
I think he’s doing great for himself, he actually ended up buying my cue for $185 and he’s already trying to flip it for $225, without refinishing it or doing anything to the bad condition cue was according to him.
(By the way I have never heard of anyone refinishing a jump cue.
I had myself over 10 in my life time and I never even thought about refinishing them, it didn’t matter how banged up they were, but that's just me I guess)
This member states he’s so embarrassed of selling a cue in this bad a condition yet he could not wait for me to get back from my trip to DCC, and put the Lomax back up for sale!
I mean this is ridiculous...
The whole controversy about me not wanting to issue a refund is easy to understand if one wants to listen : I did not agree about the condition of the jump cue being bad, like he stated. I shipped a straight cue, so I found no reason to refund Tampapool.
However, as he started to insist I thought of the possibility, why wouldn’t I? I had the cue sold already to a different member who was interested! And I have proof of it because the member asked me for my cell phone and he texted me!
I also have other PM’s from other members interested and willing to give me more for it.
However I did not see his post until much later, and I agree that if the video of that cue is my Lomax jump cue, the cue no longer rolls as it rolled before I shipped it.
I told Tampapool that he could have the refund, and he did not accept it, because he didn’t want to ship directly to that new customer.
So let’s consider my part of the story a little bit gentlemen, I know it’s hard because some of you are so ready to find me guilty as charged, but please try a little harder.
I know it’s hard to read between my irony, just like I’m sure sometimes it’s hard for me to detect yours.
I’m not so mad, with Tampapool as some of you or himself is with me, I get that, but that is ok.
And he’s doing fine
I sold a great jump cue to this member, a jump cue that does the work very well.I wish I could pull a Youtube video of all the life savers this jump cue helped me win games and matches in the last year or so.
I have no regrets about this transaction. And I felt like I did offer Tampapool a refund, it was just at a time when he didn’t want it.
This member should have communicate with me over the phone and i’m confident we coulda sort this out, but instead, he decided to try to sell the cue as it is.

You may just be right Chicken Dinner, or at least you make it sound right.
Not sure you are right 100%, not sure I agree with the automatic refund policy,
but I will mantain that a better communication between Tampapool and me, (and what better communication than by phone), woulda worked out better for both of us
Call Paypal. Tell them the gift was a mistake. Say the seller insisted the sale to be listed as a gift. (if you never paid by gift before). Tell them it was suppose to be a merchandise purchase. Explain the description and received condition and you want to return for full refund. If nothing more it will damage the sellers Paypal credibility. Paypal has it's rules.
So your suggestion is to lie ?
I would of never figured you would give advise like that...
I would be willing to throw in 20 bucks if the op doesn't lie .. about any part of this transaction![]()

I gotta agree with ya. I mean, the entire idea of "gifting" is to avoid paying for a service. I don't like being gifted, even for a box of chalk. Seems silly to have folks completely give up a valuable right in the online buying process so the seller can save a buck or two.
Thus, the seller is the only one who benefits for gifting, and look exactly how this guy was thanked for it. No thanks, I don't like getting gifted, and I don't buy products via the gift method. And so far, I've never been screwed online and I've never screwed anyone else. The system works![]()

Admit to being a party to fraud? Then lie about it?
I wouldn't.
I would keep my head low and move along....

In reverse.......I bought pedal covers for my car on eBay ala Paypal from Germany. Box was crushed and I refused delivery and requested a return to sender. The postal service simply marked the delivery as refused....never mentioned the package was crushed (due to a piece of junk box). A lot of time went by ...never heard from the seller...Have no idea if he got the package back....the PO tracking never completed the transaction. I asked Ebay to help out. They told me to suck wind....can't help..case closed. Called paypal to dispute. They favored me and I got a full refund. I closed my Ebay account...will do without anything being sold there than to ever ask them for help. They replied to me that I'm SOL and end the reply with Thanks for Understanding.I bought an electronic tool for $165 and the seller shipped it from China after I paid for it with Paypal. The tool did not work so I contacted the seller and they did not respond to me. I contacted Paypal and the told me to ship it back and provided me an address in china. I sent it US postal service international priority mail and that cost me $24. The last tracking info on the box was that it left San Francisco. Paypal told me as soon as there was confirmation of delivery they would refund me. My brother in law owns two UPS stores and told me that is usually the case. Tracking ends when it leaves the US. I have no doubt Paypal knows this but officially Paypal disagrees and says priority mail tracking to China is reliable. I never got my money back and Paypal closed the case.
Screw Paypal, I will gift them every chance I get. For all I know they debited the seller and kept the money.

Shame on me....You guys are right here. I was too quick to reply like I did. I got stung once and bad sales bother me.
Honesty and good ethics should rule regardless. So how about if the seller makes this right. It's not too late. Take the cue back and provide a full refund. Everyone will be happy. The seller will look like a gentleman and learn from it. Respect can be regained. Fair enough?
especially after reading his worthless response.
