I can assure you, I'm not. They're going to invitationals because they want to control which pros can and cannot play. It's politics. And to be honest, it totally limits the prize funds but like I said, they get the players they want.
I understand what you're trying to say but it's a flawed theory and backwards thinking. Yes, I played last year in the US Open 10ball, and I suck, and it's a joke that I'm able to play in that event... but think of it this way, for every banger in the field, is another "bye" for the real players. For ever banger they have in the field, that's an extra $500 going into the professionals pockets. If there were 100 people my speed that played in that pro event (and they don't limit the field), that's $50,000 of DEAD MONEY going straight to a good players pockets. They should encourage as many players as they can get, of any skill.
