No Bonus Ball live stream???

there was 10,000 hits, everyone was re-freashing every 10 seconds. that adds up fast. but 10K unique, doubt it. hope so for their sake but from where? there would be 100K hits if there was 10K unique

I enjoyed it even though I don't understand the rules of the game either. I love it when the pros make it look so simple. I also like the fitted look of the jerseys and don't think they're overdone at all. I, for one, don't want to see all the players in corporate looking polo shirts. For a minute there I thought Earl was gonna come out of his:D The studio looked professional (simple) & I can picture this on tv. The players kept looking back at the camera at what is probably the shot clock and I think that could be moved. That's my only complaint because my internet connection sucks regardless.

i enjoyed ot too, i just think its a rough start. too rough. they needed more time before going "live"

PLEASE get rid of those gay jerseys. Make these guys dress like they're on the first tee at Augusta. Shannon is one of my favorite players and he has no business wearing a basketball jersey. It fits him as well as ballerina slippers.

Perfectly said. A sports jeresy is so you don't tackle the other player or pass the wrong player the ball. Just SOOOOOOOO out of place on a pool player. Can you imagine a golfer wearing those? LMAO. Also the big ass numbers on the back... really? Are the commentators having a hard time identifying the players from the large area? Really?

Are they ready for an expansion teams?

I found the colors on the jerseys to be helpful. The home and away colors corresponded to the pocket colors. So you knew what pockets each team had.

As far as style of jersey, it didnt really bother me one way or another. Pool players in general are "big" due to their overall lifestyles. But so are many football players.

I feel bad for BB. I know how much some of those folks put their heart and soul into this endeavor. I sure do hope tonight goes well. At least they're doing something for pool right now, trying to anyway. I want to root for them to succeed.

i didnt notice that, however the same thing could be accomplished with out hockey shirts

I just read with a heavy heart that China has bought my beloved Smithfield hams from Virginia. :(

Kentucky Derby is sponsored by the Chinese Yum! company.

Don't worry, Bonus Ball. I'm sure you'll get picked up by China. Hang in there! :o

Not that it matters, but Yum! Brands corporate headquarters is located by my buddy's house in Louisville, KY. They are not Chinese, rather an equally repugnant US based corporation. Just my opinion of course...

Yea, like a solid white polo with some sort of small logo on the sleeve. Seriously, they look ridiculous and will end up on one of those late night shows like Talk Soup making fun of pool. For real. And to them, it would be a victory...

I finally figured out what those shirts are: hockeyball jerseys.

Actually they should change BB to HockeyBall.

It would be awesome. Flood the studio floor and have the guys play in skates. See Dennis Hatch check someone into the boards Earl already has all the goalie gear.

I'm a buyer.

Can you explain how you're setting up the hosting for the stream? Based on the above paragraph-- it doesn't sound correct.

Who are you sending your RTMP feed to? What kind of plan? I think you used AWS last night. This isn't their core business. They do it (because they do everythiiiiiing), but they're not the best.

I'm assuming by VPS you mean virtual private server? That's fine for your website, but 100% not for the stream. You can send your stream to a single VPS that has a bazillion gigs coming off it and you'll always have quality issues. If that's legit how you're doing it and the stream goes off without a hitch -- you guys are nowhere in the solar system of 10k concurrent users.

If you guys share a little of the basics -- there are a few guys including myself that can steer you in the right direction before tonight.

If 10k concurrent views is legit, you must work off a cluster, preferably a legitimate CDN. Not any CDN, but one that does origin/edge RTMP clustering as a primary business. Serving 10k streams from a VPS is like performing heart surgery with a screwdriver -- ain't the right tool for the job.

Nathan doesn't need help. He knows everything.

Spider - I need help. I'll send you a PM

i think he needs a little help, he does good video production work, but that aint putting it up on the net for 10000000's of viewers, Dave has a handle on that. someone needs help, clearly last night was a f up and going to best buy aint the solution....
