What is your favorite name for a pool room? it can be a place you have been to, saw in a movie, read about, or just a name that popps up in your thoughts.

If you have more than one name list them from most to least favorite, there is no limit.

Just a fun interactive thread where there is no right or wrong.

I'll post a list of around 5 or 6 names I really like later on.

right now my #1 choice would be "Fatboy's Pool Room":grin-square: or some varation of that, I'd build on a tournment room with 6 tables and bleachers, cameras, booth etc. and call that "Fattys Corner" or maybe something different but still in the Fatboy name since it is just a different part of the pool room-the action room. :D

everyone should make a post in this thread, I hope there is alot of activity on this thread,, all in good fun

best
eric :)

If I had the money for a pool/snooker/billiards room, I might call it

Snooker? I Barely Know 'Er!

but I'm not sure how that'd go over in some towns.

Here's a couple.

"Sticks and Balls and Holes" ( I smell a hint of innuendo)

It's the title of Liz Ford's Blog .........but I think it is very clever, definately what I would name a pool hall.

Also I play at a club with a good name, "Rack and Roll"

Dave

If I was to open my own room, I'd hafta name it "Bust My Balls Poolroom and Sports Bar". :grin-square::grin-square::grin-square:

I never thought of the name for a room I would want to build. Off the top of my head I would go with C³ Billiards (My initials are CCC).

It would be a room on Lake Norman with at minimum 16 tables set up on two sides 4x2 and 4x2 with an island in between. I would have seating around to watch, a bar and kitchen. Since it would be on Lake Norman it would have docks outside, an outside bar, bocce ball court and possibly a volley ball court.

My favorite name for a pool hall is Chalky's of course. Not just because of TCOM, but there was a place by that name in Cleveland, Ohio and I knew the old man who owned it.

Your #1 sounded cool so I googled it and the google listing says this place has 11 rooms and 13 Snooker tables.... 10 of them 10' and 3, 12'!! Wow!!

Some day I'm gunna take a little trip. It looks like it'd be one long days drive.

1. Jay's Billiards - Already had this one at Hollywood Park for a few years.

I always wanted to build a high class place called "Cool Pool". Kind of a nightclub/restaurant/poolroom. Nice soft jazzy music, dimly lit (except over the pool tables), and good food of course. Maybe someday......

Both of these once existed.
Joe's Poolhall (Springfield, MO) and St. Elmo's (Norfolk, VA).
My fantasy poolhall would be: Steamer's Palace of Sphereical Delights and Bar and Grill.

I live near Cool, CA. Also thought Cool Pool would be a great name.

Many businesses there are named Cool [Whatever].
