Notice to Diamond of no longer delivering pool tables.

Glenn I am sorry to hear that Diamond has not done right by you with that truck.

I would be very interested in seeing how long they keep that truck in circulation after you turn it in.

It is not inconceivable they were holding out on leasing a new truck until they had the opportunity to install a new driver as well.

That is very true also. Very good point!

Dear Greg, Chad, and Mark.

I feel it's only fair that I regretfully inform all of you that as of June 1st or there abouts, once I have finished delivering the tables I am committed to deliver, I'll no longer be delivering anymore of Diamonds pool tables. Due to irreconcilable differences, being this Diamond truck I lease from Diamond to deliver these Diamond tables, and the requests for something newer to deliver your pool tables with for the last 6 months, I can no longer do my job efficiently and cost effective as a sub-contractor as the cost of operating this vehicle is just to outrageous.

Once I've completed the last of my deliveries, I'll drop your truck off at the Diamond factory, then purchase something used to tow my trailer and belongings back to Washington State, where I'll resume my profession as a Billiards technician once again.

I have no hard feelings toward Diamond, or their employees, I've had a long relationship with most of you, dating back to March of 2000. I just feel that at this time, this is the best thing for all of us.

I have tried on several occasions to speak with all three of you about this situation, but over the last 6 months, I feel my concerns for better, more reliable transportation have fallen on the unimportant list, as in not a priority at the moment. A lot of moments have passed in the last 6 months.

Rather than part on bad terms, I feel it's only fair to inform you this way, as then I know you'll hear me, and my message.

To anyone that was planning on having me deliver your pool tables in the near future, I'm sure Diamond will make arrangements to still make that happen, just not with me.

Sincerely, Glen...the Realkingcobra.

You probably do have a legit grievance, but posting it in public like this serves no purpose other than to embarrass Diamond. This is not a positive thing for any of you.

Why didn't you just refuse to deliver tables until they provided you with a reliable truck?

Honestly I'm hoping they buy you a brand spanking new truck or at least buy a good used one.

You cannot cross a burned bridge.

Let me say something here, normally no billiards manufacturing company is going to supply a billiards technician with a company truck to deliver their pool tables to the customer, as I'm very well aware that I will be hearing that soon, but let me just say something here to try and get someone to understand something first...before that statement is made to me.

First of all, "normally" billiards manufacturing companies don't make pool tables that weigh 1,230lbs either, that have to be transported in a dolly, that TRUCKING companies WON'T transport on wheels. So, that creates a problem out of the NORMAL.

Secondly, if a customer calls up, and says I'd like to order a 9ft ProAm table, and have it installed in my home...hmmmm..well, can you do that?

ahhh...no sir, we don't have a billiards technician in your area with a truck and trailer willing to go to Vegas, or Indiana to pick up and deliver the table you want, but we don't care if he rents a truck to deliver one to you. But...I live in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming...or where ever else...and I don't have a mechanic that is willing to rent a truck from here, drive all the way there and back, with the table on a dolly, then I have to pay to send that dolly back....is that what you're telling me?....No, you could always buy a 9ft Diamond Professional, with a 3 piece slate...then we could just crate it for you, and ship it out, when it arrives...just have your local technician put it together for you!!!

If life were that simple, I wonder why I deliver so many 3 piece slate tables;) could it be, because the customer knows they're going to get it set up right?...from the same person that delivers it? hmmmm

I wonder how many billiards technicians there are out here, that would be willing to buy a truck, or a trailer to deliver and set up Diamond ProAms, or Smart Tables...when that's all they'd need it for;)

I wonder how many would just pass on it, as it's to big, or to dangerous dealing with a beast of a table;)

No, I think that if Diamond expects to get these kind of tables to the customers...they should share in some of the expences...such as the truck. I drove my Ranger...that's right...a 2000 Ford Ranger...all over this country pulling my 18ft trailer to deliver tables for Diamond and the customers. I put 150,000 miles on my truck in 2 years, and at times was laughed at leaving the factory...with over 10,000lbs on the trailer...being pulled by a Ranger truck that weighs 3,400lbs...but you know what...I got the deliveries done!;) Until my truck finally just couldn't do the job anymore, got back to Vegas, and was going to go back home, I was done. That was March 19th of last year. Diamond at that time, flew me back to the factory and gave me the truck I have now...with 275,849 miles on it. Now it has 339,844 miles, so...I've said what I said.

Diamond don't need to supply me with a truck, that's OK. But, unless I'm delivering Diamonds tables...I have no need for a box truck either, and unless someone is furnishing the truck....customers don't need ProAms or Smart tables either;)

A driver????????...you have to be kidding me right?...If being a driver is all it takes to do this job, then you have no idea as to what is involved in doing this job....sorry;) I'm a billiards technician...not a truck driver;)

Diamond wake up !!!!!!!!

WOW ..Dear Diamond you are about ready to loose a very valuable employee.. It's hard to get professional employees like the Cobra...Sometimes corporations make poor decisions, looks like this is one of those times...

Chris
Because that would be holding the customer hostage, and that's who I work for, not Diamond, so I always deliver the customers tables...no matter what the problem is between Diamond and myself:D

Glen

Sorry to hear that Glen... I think I talked to you right after your truck pooped out on you for the umpteenth time...

Dang

Sorry to hear Glen. I guess it is what it is. I do believe you have no ill will toward Diamond being that you spend a lot of time on here bragging them up. I'm sure you have pushed more than a couple people into a Diamond, who were teatering on the GC - Diamond fence. I'm just sorry that haven't had the cash to have you delivery me one. Sometimes the squeeky wheel gets the grease, who knows:rolleyes:

Oh, FORD is fk'd over rebuilt Dodge by the way;)

I would call Sears - they have nice new trucks & you could be the billiards technician (or whatever name you want to come up for yourself) for their line of honeycomb tables.

I can picture the IRS receiving Glen's tax return & googling billiards technician to try to figure out what the F that is.....then cross it out & put billiards MECHANIC on his form.

That would probably be a HACK working for the IRS too:D A mechanic is one step above a hack in my opinion...there, I said it again:D A technician is a specialist at what they do as far as I'm concerned, meaning...they can do it all:D "IMO":D :D :D :D :D

Glen

i am suppose to be getting a pro am delivered any day now, I have been calling since friday with an eta and can't even get a return phone call. been waiting about 6 weeks now.

Do you honestly think I need to call Sears for a job?:D I don't think so, I haven't ever worked for Sears, not in the 25 years I've been doing this, that goes for working for anyone else either:D
