Let me say something here, normally no billiards manufacturing company is going to supply a billiards technician with a company truck to deliver their pool tables to the customer, as I'm very well aware that I will be hearing that soon, but let me just say something here to try and get someone to understand something first...before that statement is made to me.
First of all, "normally" billiards manufacturing companies don't make pool tables that weigh 1,230lbs either, that have to be transported in a dolly, that TRUCKING companies WON'T transport on wheels. So, that creates a problem out of the NORMAL.
Secondly, if a customer calls up, and says I'd like to order a 9ft ProAm table, and have it installed in my home...hmmmm..well, can you do that?
ahhh...no sir, we don't have a billiards technician in your area with a truck and trailer willing to go to Vegas, or Indiana to pick up and deliver the table you want, but we don't care if he rents a truck to deliver one to you. But...I live in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming...or where ever else...and I don't have a mechanic that is willing to rent a truck from here, drive all the way there and back, with the table on a dolly, then I have to pay to send that dolly back....is that what you're telling me?....No, you could always buy a 9ft Diamond Professional, with a 3 piece slate...then we could just crate it for you, and ship it out, when it arrives...just have your local technician put it together for you!!!
If life were that simple, I wonder why I deliver so many 3 piece slate tables

could it be, because the customer knows they're going to get it set up right?...from the same person that delivers it? hmmmm
I wonder how many billiards technicians there are out here, that would be willing to buy a truck, or a trailer to deliver and set up Diamond ProAms, or Smart Tables...when that's all they'd need it for
I wonder how many would just pass on it, as it's to big, or to dangerous dealing with a beast of a table
No, I think that if Diamond expects to get these kind of tables to the customers...they should share in some of the expences...such as the truck. I drove my Ranger...that's right...a 2000 Ford Ranger...all over this country pulling my 18ft trailer to deliver tables for Diamond and the customers. I put 150,000 miles on my truck in 2 years, and at times was laughed at leaving the factory...with over 10,000lbs on the trailer...being pulled by a Ranger truck that weighs 3,400lbs...but you know what...I got the deliveries done!

Until my truck finally just couldn't do the job anymore, got back to Vegas, and was going to go back home, I was done. That was March 19th of last year. Diamond at that time, flew me back to the factory and gave me the truck I have now...with 275,849 miles on it. Now it has 339,844 miles, so...I've said what I said.
Diamond don't need to supply me with a truck, that's OK. But, unless I'm delivering Diamonds tables...I have no need for a box truck either, and unless someone is furnishing the truck....customers don't need ProAms or Smart tables either
