Have you got an auctioneer's cane?

If not, would you like one?

I have one that belonged to an auctioneer from the Clarkston, WA and Lewiston, ID area. I picked it up at an antique store in that area several years ago... and I really don't have a use for it. It has his name and occupation on it. BTW, I did an online search and found a lady with the same last name that still lived in the area... so I emailed her and asked if she was related... and she was... she was his daughter... but she didn't seem interested in having his cane. Maybe they had a bad relationship.

Let me know if you're interested and maybe we can work something out.

Whats your occupation? Pool players represent a large cross section of America. All walks of life from prominatant sports figures, to dentists, to construction workers... the list goes on and on. In our league we have a Lawyer, a Dentist, a Grave digger, a Chimney sweep, a engineer, and an Elevator mechanic to name a few. The last one represents myself.

I troubleshoot problems when the elevators don't work right. I provide maintainance on a scheduled basis. Perform safety tests to ensure they run as per code. Perform repairs when the elevators are really "Broke but good."
I am also "On Call' one day a week and one weekend a month.

I'm curious to see what everyone else does to pay the bills.

Occupation

Glazier.....

(I work with glass).

Primarily do commercial work like the glass in mall stores. I also specialize in custom mirror work. I've been in the glass trade for about 16 years. In a past life I did computer security on a CSIRT team for a government branch. Risk assessments, penetration testing, etc... When I did 'computer stuff' I missed working with my hands and being dirty. Now that I'm back in the field, I miss the office and coming home clean (and not climbing ladders!).
