To JCIN and your crew,

All I can say is UNBELIEVABLE! What a spectacle!

I spent most of the weekend glued to my computer. By the end, I felt like I had been beat up! I can only imagine how you and your crew must feel.

Please don't let the trivial opinion of one person affect what you accomplished with this event.

The Action Report is now at the top of my favorite's list right next to AZBilliards.

Keep it up as I can't wait to see what's up next for you guys.

Again, UNBELIEVABLE!

The "turn" would pass forward. If the next player declined the shot, then the player after him would have the option. It would continue right back to the original shooter and he would have to shoot again. This way it would be harder to take advantage of a player two turns away.

Yep!

I had the patience to read further and check if someone had already answered with my thoughts..

First BASKETBALL, now POOL! What's next, WRASSLIN?

On topic: IMO the rules (or lack thereof) were taken advantage of to eliminate D.O.

Yup. I sure learned my lesson betting against the Harlem Globetrotters! :D :D :D

Boy, if that ain't the truth.

I was just about say: JAM should be able to explain this Monkey ___ to everyones satisfaction :-)

Lou Figueroa
has been called a Monkey
by the best of 'em

LOL! :D :D :D

Now, you should know how fond I am of Monkeys, Lou. I just don't like sucker-punching monkeys! There's a huge difference between being called a "monkey" with a little "m" and "Monkey" with a big "M."

Actually, I think The Hamster could explain this monkey business better than I! :p

First, great job Action Report. I watched quite a bit of play and being overweight myself I was cheering for the short fat guys. Banks Jr has such an explosive break all I can say is wow. Now to the original post topic...Corey D., get a new spokesman or backer or whatever he is. Second, the game was played within the rules and Dennis was broke down. I look upon that as a concession. Third, it is a ring game format and the object is to win within the rules which they did. Fouth, I certainly saw Dennis O. kick for a 7 ball to the side that certainly could have been cut in, though difficult, and lay the 7 ball on the bottom rail. I thought that shot had safety written all over it. Guess who got to shoot next??? SVB. SVB was out of chips also. So none of the big guns there took it down, maybe this will give some hope to some lesser, though talented players to step forward.

My .02 cents

It just sounds like Shane played the odds of Mike or him getting out in order to get Dennis out of the game, it's called eliminating the competition, and
as long as it is within the rules, it's legal.

Consider this:
In every Golf game I have ever played in for money on a Snooker table, everyone teams up against the player that is leading the pack, especially if he is on the 5 or 6 hole, to keep him from going out, or winning the game.
They will do everything they can to hold him back until they can at least catch up to him. It's understood to be part of the game.

Shane made a defensive strategy choice, that would put him in a better position in the long run, that's all.

AND, I have known Evelyn Dysert a long time, and never have I ever known a MORE FAIR Tournament Director than her. I accept her decisions in any situation without repute. They don't come any better than what Evelyn is as a Tournament Director.

Repeat it??????

Could you repeat that? :)

He couldn't say it the first time. {Or type it} I have no clue what he said, and I don't believe he does either. Think he needs to take 6 Tylenol and go to bed. Maybe try a re-write tomorrow.

I think what is wrong is that you spout YOUR viewpoint as what happened and anyone who disagrees is a bad person, idiot, monkey, whatever.

I hope you realize what you have done to your reputation here.

Shane exercised a legal option to pass a tough table back to Banks in hopes of gaining a better shot later in the rack. Dennis was on life support whether it was $3000 or $300. Dennis broke down. Go ask any player on earth this question "If a player breaks down his cue, puts it in his case, and walks out of the tournament area. Is it a forfeit?" The whole " But it's a ring game" defense has no merit. Shane ran over to the TD's desk to find out what happened. After 5 min Banks shot at the 8.

The was no malice or conspiracy. The only thing I wish would have happened different was that I wish Mike would have hit that 8 ball a 100 mph instead of lagging up to it. At that point it was meaningless anyway, but to people looking for any excuse to cry "business" it gave the vultures all they needed.

I also want to say this. No man talks to me in person like you are speaking here. You take that for whatever its worth.

JUST IN CASE YOU THINK I CARE WHAT ANYONE THINKS ABOUT ME ON HERE....YOU ARE HIGHLY MISTAKEN I COULD CARE LESS...AND BECAUSE IM WOOFING ABOUT THESE GUYS PULLING A SHADY MOVE WITHIN THE RULES YOU ARE GONNA THREATEN ME...YOU CALLED ME A NAME I COULD CARE LESS...WHEN I CALLED YOU A MONKEY ITS A FIGURE OF SPEECH I USE NOT A REAL INSULT.....BUT IF YOU WANNA GET ALL TOUGH AND PUFF UR CHEST OUT...BECAUSE UR 6'7 AND BIG THEN GO AHEAD...JUST TO LET YOU KNOW YOUR NOT THE ONLY BIG GUY IN THIS WORLD...SO DON'T EVER THREATEN ME PHYSICALLY AGAIN OR YOU WILL HAVE A PPROBLEM..............................

Double standard

It looks to me like we have a gaping double standard on exhibit here. There have been many of reports of collusion by Phillipino players against non-Phillipinos. Whether or not those accusations have been true is one thing. Not much is ever said about it. But let there be even a single accusation of collusion by American players, and the long knives come out-- and by other Americans. I wonder if there is a similar outcry in the Phillipines against their players if there are similar accusations? Or for that matter, is anyone shocked anywhere?

Doc

you made a good point. Let's see, how fast would an American player
go out in a ring game playing with all Filapinos? Not to mention, the Puyat team tag teaming on tournaments to spread the wealth around, and letting their 2nd tier of players make a name for themselves.

I don't think anyone is in the positon to pass 'moral judgments' on any player
as long as they played within the rules. How old are you, McWhorter, 22, 23, or 12? I hear you don't have near as much 'Bravado' in person as you like to portray on the Internet. And it doesn't take much when all you are trying to do if find a 'LOCK' on a matchup. If you really think Corey is that good, let him play Dennis.

Tap..................

what??

When I look at how many players Puyat Sports sponsors I have long wondered if some slicing and dicing and a bit of maneuvering doesn't take place at many competitions. An entire group sponsored by one business, all from one small country, all pretty much traveling together. Who believes that they regard each other as just another opponent, no more, no less?

As for outcry, we only have to watch the crowds at the events in the pacific rim to know exactly how the public from the same countries will react. The US and by extension it's players are the 800 pound gorilla, drag them down any way you can and you will be cheered.

My thoughts

I am gonna be honest with you.If I had been Shane or Mike I would have done the same thing.I don't give a damn if it was my running buddy,if all he had was the ante, his ass is out period and I'd be playin heads up for 22000.You all can think whatever you want and jump on the McWorter train but me I think nothing of it and I'm about as nice a pool player as they come.As far as all the name calling, I wouldn't take it either.I sure as hell wouldn't appologize for saying things to a person to let them know how I feel about it.Dennis was LIKELY, I will say that, likely to lose due to chip counts.if it wasn't then it was later.I respect Jamie for his gamble and obvious love for the game.BUT, when it comes to talkin to people, or about them, I think your out of line, sorry. You carry yourself in a way that does not lend itself to get my total respect.Men don't talk to men the way you do without some type of confrontation, I mean come on how many people can you slander. Its different when you are just woofing up a game, but you act like you are out to piss people off.Its just not cool.I just have to say this is one tired ass post.

I watched Gabica loose to Kiamco in the finals out in Reno so Kiamco could win the $5,000 bonus money............... Did anyone get on here and have a fit and start accusing these two of being shady? I don't think so !!!!!!!! It looks like McWorter has no American friends, so he is now swinging from the Phillipino's NUTT'S.........................

What's interesting to me is that in all this, not a word out of Orcullo. He accepted his fate and moved on. He could have complained and made some noise but he chose not to. He has already moved on, looking for his next game (victim).

He knows how to reach me and if he had a major complaint, I'm sure I would hear from him. Not a peep. No wonder why I like this guy.

I was there to Jamey. We knew that if they could get by SVB and Kim D. this would happen. I give all credit to Mark Griffin who sucked it up and paid the Bonus. Did anyone hear any whining from him? NO!

Of course, Mark is a man, not a mouse.
